150K for a AAA game is not good, during it's most exposed time. It's how much Sunset Overdrive sold during it`s first NPD.
No Man's Sky for example sold 50K in it`s 2nd month, being thrashed by everyone, which is 90% down from it's launch month which was over 500K, being a new IP. Forza Horizon 3 is not a new IP and didn't even sell 1/3rd of what NMS did.
As for sustained sales as of right now Forza Horizon 3 is barely staying in the ...
Call Of Duty is one of the top selling titles in Japan. Playstation has variety, that appeals to all sorts of demographics and put alot of effort into building a foundation in smaller markets, obviously Japan, but also the Middle East and all across Europe.
The sad reality is, Forza Horizon 2 sold 100K on Xbox One and 50K on Xbox 360 on it`s first NPD, 2 years ago with the Xbox One fanbase being much smaller at the time. So for all the hype and praise (derseved or underserved), the game technically did worse than the last iteration. Which is surprising.
Sony screwed up by releasing the Slim and Pro so close together. The slim should have been out months ago.
Don't get it twisted though, worldwide the PS4 is still thrashing the Xbox One. Even the last months the Xbox won in the US and UK have been close, not even 60/40. US and UK represent 55% of the market. The other 45% is literally 85% to 15% in favor of Playstation.
It`s not even plausible for Xbox to come back in any meaningful way.
I was right about Forza Horizon 3, it didn't sell well at all, only selling 150,000 copies.
People will make the excuse about it being 5 days, but the reality is games sell the bulk of their copies in the first 3 days of being released.
No, it down samples from 4K tp 1080p giving a much cleaner image. Like screenshots released in PR packages.
The Pro releasing so soon is definitely effecting PS4 sales.
If I didn't have a PS4 I would just wait a month or two. It's not like it's that much more expensive.
Yeah, this was unexpected. Sony screwed up releasing the Slim so close to the Pro.
Technically the Xbox has console exclusives, it just doesn't have any actual exclusive games.
Wasn't this said about the PS4 and Xbox One?
"Sony is expecting that its PlayStation VR headset to sell "hundreds of thousands" units after its launch Thursday and the company is ramping up production capacity to deal with the expected demand, the European chief executive of electronic giant's gaming division told CNBC."
Playstation VR looks to be a big success. This could be a big holiday for Playstation.
Oh, I thought you were talking about 2K.

I believe you, but it seems some people are with Ranked matches.
Sony letting PewDiePie have this early is a very smart move, regardless of what you think of the guy.
No, it should be higher up on the list on and around launch day, like every other major title. You can make all the excuses you want, like not including selected games.
It also failed to take the #1 spot on Amazon, most of the big sellers seem to reach #1 on there for a few days, either approaching or just after release.

@christopher
All in all, if people really like it, buy it. Goodwill only goes so far.
@everyone in general
Look, I know people really like this game and want it to do well, but the reality is, it's not. This isn't some under the radar release, IGN for example, had constant adds running for it for the last month. For a game marketed this heavily, 150K is not good.
This happened to Forza Horizon 1 too, it had a ...
