What do you mean? I'm pretty sure he meant 10 million across all three platforms.
"You want to know why a 3D adventure like Sonic Adventure works"
Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 was the reason I got a Dreamcast.
I haven't played any other Sonic game since those two, but if they haven't done so in the past, I don't get why Sega doesn't just put their focus on expanding the Sonic Adventure series. Just stick with that story-driven/action-adventure Sonic. They can even make it open world. There is a lot they can work with.
"or a PlayStation tablet that only plays streamed content from PS Now or Remote Play for $199."
I was thinking that Sony could pack in something like this for the PS5.
Have a traditional PS5 console and have a inexpensive tablet-like companion that only streams content. You won't be able to play games on the plane, but as long as you have internet access you can play on the go and not have to compromise on power like the Switch.

@Chris
Obviously there are improvements that can be made. Nothing is perfect. All of you're suggestions I would love to happen too. The article seemed to use games as their main talking point. In that regard not much to improve upon for Sony, but to keep pace and maintain the steady stream of releases. But, yeah there are other things Sony can improve upon to make the overall experience better and a lot more convenient.
"Improving on PS4’s 2017 lineup of games seems daunting, frankly."
For any sane or unbiased individual, they'd agree. . . but the person you're talking to thinks PS4's 2017 output was 'decent' so not quite a daunting task if you're asking him. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
"what do you think Sony needs to improve on?"
Let me guess his response; 'Uuumm errr . . . release_dates and psn name change!'
lol 😁
" PS4 must have just been content to sit things out at the end of the year. "
That's not how video game releases work lol
♦ ♦ ♦ "According to the rumors, Pokemon Switch will feature a "simplified battle system" that is comparable to the Digimon World series." ♦ ♦ ♦
I personally welcome this change. I know a lot of diehards are going to be upset about this, but a real time battle system is the way to go. It makes it closer to the anime. And Digimon World's battle system is very good. A modified version of that can essentially make it where it's similar to the old Pok...
"I'm able to overlook the flaws of any platform because I've got options"
You actually said this with a straight_face. Cute ^_^
Will be interesting to see if next gen PSVR comes with the PS5.
100 milli should happen. I agree with the 2021 release date as well.
"The performance dip is easy for me to overlook this year . . because I don't rely solely on one company to provide everything."
So basically they can do no wrong since you'll always be able to over look any "dip" because you "don't rely solely on one company to provide everything." Shame you don't apply that thinking to ALL platforms though.
Holy crap, skirmish mode looks good
* * * " Oh and a bad launch and high price is the reason why PS3 was neck and neck with 360 last gen and eventually surpassed it not because of the games right? " * * *
Don't use sound logic on N4G. It's forbidden.
Ok, William and 343. . .
If exclusives don't matter anymore then Microsoft should release Halo, Gears, Forza, Cuphead, Ori and the rest of their games on PS4 and Switch. Lets see how many consoles they sell next gen if price and power are the only thing that matters. 😁 😄 😁 ^_^
Always online should never be a thing.
All non-multiplayer related content should not require an internet connection. There really is no point for this being the case.
Oh snap, KH3 is gonna be good
I love what I see so far

Hats off to Nintendo. Exceeded everyone's expectations
