The names I could list...
"It feels like people are expecting from Series X to have twice the framerates of PS5, in the same game"
This is what I don't get
I think this is why this entire toxic situation exists. Sooo many want to believe that the TF difference is 3 when it's actually 1.7.
Funny thing is, even IF Cerny is lying and it turns out that the PS5 can't run at 10.3TF at all times, there's still no proof that the base TF is 9.2 . . . people are only assuming that based off rumor . . . and then when a rumor or dev comes out and says that the PS5 is a lot more capable than they think, all of sudden they don...
"Face it PS5 isn’t the most powerful next gen console and I hope series x doesn’t get held back"
If we are truly doing this it will be the base XB1 that will be holding back the Series X given that games have to run on it for the next 2 years
"Pressure is on XSX, frankly, to show its power is so far above PS5 like many are bragging about"
Yep, difference has to be significant/noticeable out the gate
Exactly
Funny how people choose what is "fake" or not . . .
Remember people used the "it makes plausible sense" argument for why they believed the PS5 overheating issue rumor. . . so I guess this Crytek dev ain't making any sense to them in this case . . . lol
"Mark Cerny has commented that people will be happy with the cooling on the ps5"
Why would I believe Cerny over this *"insider"* . . .
You're not allowed to look forward to a console with variable clocks! If it was a fixed 9.2 tf then the system would be better! /s
The things people say are funny...
""This maybe makes sense in one instance and scenario...it’s kind of like “yes it will automatically work on the system level AS LONG as you work within the confines of its limitations” ""
What do you mean by limitations, specs? If so that is normal, there is nothing bad about a developer having to work within a hardware's given specs...
"so if you go in with software that requires more power you will have to optimize your gam...
"Multiple devs told DF that they aren't pushing the CPU so that they may put more power towards the GPU and hitting its max variable"
Link? I would like to read more about this.
What is up with people acting like they know more than Cerny lol?
It's like no matter what he says, there are always those that think that he's either lying or trying to mislead or they try to poke holes in his statements like they know more than him or something.
lol, Don't sweat it. It happens and people are just poking fun at the title in general, not any particular person.
Also your alt source is there. It's under both Credit url and Alternative Sources
lmao, You an't got to do him dirty like that 😂
Sounds like all the boxes are checked to me
Would be cool in my opinion if for shooters, developers were to tie in the trigger pressure into the guns' rate of fire so that each gun would have a different feel when pushing the trigger button.
I'm not mixing anything. I agree with MS titles still being exclusive within MS's ecosystem.
Don't know why you're questioning why I game based off a post... Merely reciting what other people have said to downplay the importance of exclusives just as you recited what others have said to take issue with MS releasing games on PC... Want to be out here calling people names lol... look in the mirror
@UltraNova
More interesting that this comes after Sony acquired Insomniac. Being able to play on as many devices as possible was a huge talking point up until now. Is someone feeling the heat?
"Of course they do. That was never the issue. The issue was that fanboys attacked Microsoft for putting their games on Windows"
lol Just the other day fanboys were saying that Sony was doing what MS was doing by bringing games like Uncharted, Last Of Us, and Gran Tourismo to PC and Xbox, just because Sony said that they may bring Multiplayer only titles to PC and how 'we live in interesting times' because of it . Meaning they too believed a game like Gears ...
"When exactly exclusives did not matter?"
People have said consistently this gen that exclusives don't matter because the top selling games are multi-platform titles anyway and that the profit comes from software not hardware so putting you're exclusives on as many devices as possible (which no longer makes them exclusive) is the way to go and is the future of gaming and that traditional exclusivity are no longer as important.
Yep, what you said pretty much, but even if both consoles ran at peak performance from the get go, the difference would be minimal regardless as the major difference between the two is only 1.7TF. It was never going to be huge to begin with.
But since Cerny used the term, variable, it allowed for the uninformed to assume that the 10 flops was a best case scenario, while real world performance would be the rumored 9.2 tf even though Cerny insists that it will be able to run...
