The cover will NEVER prevent me from buying a game ever...
But that doesn't mean I don't go out and say "this cover sucks" or "this cover is the worst cover ever" or "hey this cover looks awesome."
I'm personally tired of people taking other people's opinions so personally and I'm tired of people not being able to express their opinion without being call entitled, snobby, or crying..
Honestly, I don't consider this a risk at all from a financial stand point.
I expect this game to sell over a million at launch as long as it looks even ever so slightly promising.
From the view point of the fans, yes, this is a risk/opportunity. You can either get people feeling like this game is a Super Smash Brothers rip-off or you can get people feeling like this game is a masterpiece that is original enough to standout on it's own.
I agree in general that you shouldn't value graphics over gameplay, but to call people an idiot or not real gamers for doing so over a particular game?
I dismiss certain manga/anime because I don't like the artistic style of it. If you want realistic gameplay, you'll have to pray that 2K will one day get the NFL license. There is no way EA would stray away from what is selling millions of copies.

He meant dedicated game system.
What he was trying to say is that a dedicated PORTABLE gaming system(3DS) is the number one selling dedicated gaming system in the world so if mobile phones were impacting the dedicated gaming market(especially the portable one) it wouldn't be the number one selling dedicated gaming system in the world.

No. 13 and 13-2 are plain bad. Yes 13-2 is better than 13, but so what? 13 is linear trash to begin with. To out do 13 requires no effort at all. 13-2 was just better trash than 13. I wouldn't want SE making another game anything similar to either of those games ever again.
Watch how well VS13 will be received and sell for a "non main game" compared to 13-2 and you'll see just how much of a joke and a slap in the face 13-2 truly is. If VS13 is good, I expect it to out sell FF13, a "main game."
