First valid complaint I have seen on here.
Those are good points and yes I will be getting both machines. Both will have great games. The ps4 for the games it offers and xbox one for the games and Kinect which I hope it works as advertised. Each will have its strengths and weakness and only buying one will mean just having half the fun.
So can games on a computer I am sure you have one so why buy a console? Oh and games on a phone everyone seems to have one. Not a good argument. I like having everything in one piece of equipment so I can get rid of the the rest of the crap I got. But saying I like the exclusives on the Ps4 is a far better argument. That is the only thing the ps4 to me offers above the ps3.
The thing I am wondering if I got a ps3 why would I buy a ps4. It seems to me the same thing but prettier graphics and some new games. The xbox one has far more potential than the ps4 at this time. With the operating sytem, Kinect, server support and yes hdmi pass through I see a greater value. If 100 hundred dollar difference is your biggest deciding factor maybe you cannot afford either. And then people cry they don't like what ms is doing so ms listens and changes then the same people ...
I think they try just don't know how too.
But as a magazine that reviews games and tells its users to not buy one of the consoles does show a strong bias. I thought their job was to review games and to tell both sides of the story not jump on a band wagon. Sorry but this magazine is not objective and is not worth reading even if I agree with it.

Anyone who fears being watch on Kinect should look at their phone or computer first. Do you fear being watched on that? No problem there are many rocks and caves you can hide in or under. So please go there now and no one will see, hear or care about you again lol
I think the xbox one has more to offer than just games myself. As for power both systems have more than enough so that argument is pointless. If kinect works as advertised, the apps are good and cable companies work with ms then I do believe ms will do very well. Sony just offers a game machine but a very good game machine which I will get in time. Xbox one I will get first because it offers something new along with good games. I never knew Edge took a side in this so called console war. Oh well seems I can no longer trust what they write. There are other magazines that can be neutral and try to review games without favoring one side or the other.
It seems to me each system has more than enough power to do what is needed for the next five years. It is pointless to argue about it until game makers start hitting a wall. Then it might make some cense arguing who's game machine looks and plays better. The funny thing is though the games I enjoyed most did not have the best graphics but the best game play.
I am looking forward to what game makers will do with Kinect. Knowing all xbox one's will have one. Hopefully they will spend time and money developing uses for it. If I could not afford spending one hundred dollars more for a console I would not even consider buying any of them. In less than two games you would have spent more money than that. So yes leave the Kinect in and lets hope sony does not regret taking their version out.
I think xbox one is over designed on cooling lets hope the PS4 is not under designed in cooling.
Both systems well do very well and each will have its own strengths. The xbox one with be with multimedia. The PS4 will be designing games for. Both systems will play games pretty close to the same and be very hard for the average gamer to tell the difference. Only the fanboys will see any difference in how the graphics look. With the ps4 smaller and the power supply in the console I am wondering how hot and noisy it will be? Is anyone else wondering about this?
Isn't the same argument that was made last time? And how did that end up? Who cares both will look great but if it means that much to you believe what you want and be happy. By the way both of the last generation looked good to.
Unless the Japanese like the Kinect I see no hope for Xbox one in Japan.
No they will not unless Sony joins them. You can't have one do it and the other not plan and simple.
But there comes a time it is good enough. Advances are coming in smaller increments at greater costs. How good must a game look for it to be fun and entertaining? The last generation lasted what 8 years and still is worth playing. This one will last just as long. Both have enough horsepower to easily last that long. The battle as fanboys say will not be in hardware but games and software. Unless the bragging goes to who has the bigger well you know what. lol
Don't bother holding your breath fanboys are thinking with the wrong head lol. But I wonder if the xbox one uses 100 watts and is well designed to be cooled and larger why is the ps4 small and est. at 150 watts. Plus the power brick is inside it. For some reason I do believe it will run hot and noisy and quite often be throttled back to keep from burning out. Do you think this is a valid concern?
