Who is paying double the advertised price for XBL?
Exactly. Consumers are not allowed to return/refund games on the Playstation store - so why are Sony? :)
All Playstation Store sales are final (unless you are Sony).
Poor move - not a good look.
If I go into Walmart and buy something at 50% discount via mispricing, they won't come to my house and take it back.
A nice reminder that game companies are not your friend.
@EverydayJoe Sorry - that was meant to be a reply to Bathyj not you, totally agree on the free multiplayer and complacency stuff though.
@potato and Razzer: doesn’t matter if the MS games are $70 (plus they will be in game pass) - Sony did it first and set the precedent, just like MS did here with online services pricing. Had Sony copied them, MS would’ve still been the one initially responsible.
Exactly - this is the power of our voices if we band together. Next we need to be vocal about micro transactions and $70 games...
Yes, no other corporation ever hiked their prices or did anti-consumer things like raising game prices to $70, only Xbox!

Source?
Any 180 that is due to customer feedback / good for the consumer is a good thing. More companies need to listen to their users.
I am doing exactly what I did last gen:
- Getting all consoles so I can play all exclusives (incl. Switch, because Nintendo exclusives are the best)
- Playing 3rd party / non-exclusives on the most powerful console (for obvious reasons)
- Using my PC for games that need precise controls (e.g. RTS, FPS)
I wouldn't consider Sony and MS unrelated. Both are console manufacturers, both have paid services, both have historically copied each others pricing.
No need to be so salty - apologies if I hurt your loyalties to a corporation - like I said, I hope I am wrong because I don't want to pay more than $60.
Since when was Xbox subsidized by the rest of Microsoft? Xbox turns a profit every quarter.
I shared my opinion, and my opinion is that Sony will follow suit because historically MS and Sony have effectively copied each other on pricing.
Opinions are just that - opinions, and you are entitled to disagree with them, but it doesn't invalidate them ;)
Exactly. I don't get why they waste time/money on these free multiplayer addon games. I would happily pay full price for Outbreak games.
I hope I'm wrong, but I fully expect Sony to follow suit in a couple of months once they see the majority of people are still willing to pay.
This is why fanboys are stupid. Microsoft, Sony, etc. do not 'care about' or 'love' you, nor is a win for them a win for you. They want your money, that's as far as the relationship goes.
Sounds like a good demo! And I love that Capcom keeps doing these demos for RE games.
Thanks for the info guys.
This. It looks like Resistance with PVP & cel shading...
Just give us a new Outbreak or an Outbreak 1+2 remake.
Going to try this out once I get done with work. How long is the demo? How's the framerate? I remember it being super choppy in demos at the PS5 event.
@ApocalypseShadow You speak like VR is a huge selling point. PSVR sold ~5m with ~100m+ PS4's in the wild. Most gamers care more about visuals/framerate/res than VR.
Again though, it's crazy that I need to install two versions of the game on PS5 just to play VR.
@ApocalypseShadow I have played it. Which part of what I wrote is incorrect?
Uses DualShock - true
Aiming is bad - true
Requires you to install PS4 + PS5 versions - true
It's not my fault that PSVR doesn't exist (natively) on PS5. It's illogical that I need to install two versions of the game (on a console with no expandable storage...)
While I agree that physical vs 'the internet' is different, the premise remains the same that you handed over cash, and received goods/a service in return. The consumer rights should outweigh the corporations rights. We shouldn't defend the company in this scenario. If you don't want to price things incorrectly/lose money, write better code, don't make mistakes, hire better staff.
