Last gen we got Sackboy as the unofficial mascotte for PS3, now let's vote Ballsackosaurus for PS4!
My first time entering the galactic map (directional button down) and moving the camera at the highest possible speed towards the centre of the galaxy made me feel so damn small, especially when I kept moving forward for minutes on end and the centre didn't seem to come any closer. Mind = blown
Since January 2016 I've been keeping an excel file to list my gaming backlog over 4 platforms. Everytime I booted up a new game, I was already feeling stressed out because I had so many other great ones to play right after this one. I failed to really take my time and enjoy titles like Ratchet & Clank, my first UC4 playthrough, Gravity Rush Remastered, Quantum Break, Inside and many others (Fallout 4, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Dark Souls III actually frighten me in this way).
...
I just finished The Witcher: Blood and Wine DLC and boy does that game look old when compared to Uncharted 4! We're getting spoiled by ND if you ask me.
That and Sonic's 25th Anniversary Party.
Play it! I buy every major release on 3 platforms and Alien: Isolation really is in a league of its own. I cannot wait for next fall to go (or should I say 'crawl') through the Sevastopol again, this time on Nightmare Mode (no Hud, no map). It's the most intense experience I had in 22 years of dedicated gaming. Of course it helps that I'm also a huge Alien fan.
Deus Ex anyone?
Much appreciated breathing room for me personally! My gaming backlog for this summer includes Fallout 4, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Zelda Twilight Princess HD, Superhot, The Witness, Alienation, Ratchet and Clank, Yoshi's Woolly World, Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne DLC, Driveclub DLC, Quantum Break and a handful of indie titles... I'm getting dizzy thinking about it.
Heavy Rain OST was really good, as were the soundtracks for MGS2, 3 and 4.
Game Over
I cannot wait for the videos Jim will post on this very matter when the lawsuit is over. Their feud is one of the more amusing items in recent video game journalism.
I guess Sony feels VR will play an important role in the future. Maybe one day we will all look back on this very time period and realize the split resources between PS4 and PS VR were a necessary evil to help gaming evolve into a new state.
I for one applaud them for at least giving VR its moment to shine.
First match I played, and everyone picked Nathan. Such a funny sight when there's too many Drakes on the dancefloor lol.
Big screen, high end headset, philips hue and a green cloud hanging around my head. Immersion FTW!
Absolutely! I just bought 5 €20 voucher cards with a €30 total discount. I'm so happy I was too lazy to redeem them last week. Thank you, Sony!
Reading all these negative articles and comments makes me feel glad I decided to get st*ned for my nighttime playthrough.
The immersion was that much stronger (the gentle music and god...those colors), the pacing fitted my mental state perfectly and halfway through I started anticipating some messed up plot twist/ending which dialed up the paranoia a few notches. The 'ordinary' ending actually made for a nice change to what's to be expected from a game like this....
Oled all the way!
Eurogamer did a fantastic article about this very notion. If you haven't already, give it a read!

@OpenGL True, she had some fame, but it all skyrocketed after the sextape. Without that, who would even be talking about Bruce and Kris Jenner today? Bruce's face hasn't been on any cereal boxes for a long long time (and seeing his new face, maybe that's for the best)...
Let's all hope Kaz spent some time with Assetto Corsa and he decided to give his sound design a complete overhaul. There's a lot GT can learn from AC...
