Magog... now that is a name I haven't heard in a long time...
I'll wait for more in-depth testing but this looks like a cost saving measure.
According to an insider, from more than 3 months ago, and yet still no announcement, despite E3 ending last week. Not saying it couldn't happen but come on man.
Who knows if this is anything, Persona 5 still never came to anything but Playstation and it hasn't had an only on Playstation branding ever
Of course, the PS5 isn't really targeting the Japanese audience yet.
The end of an era but at this point I find it hard to imagine there are too many people that haven't upgraded to PS4 or Xbox One since they came out more than 7 years ago.
I love the PS4 but I already have both new consoles so I do not want new first party titles being designed around the limitations of the nearly 8 year old PS4.
I think that's because it's on last-gen consoles, so far only next-gen exclusives have been $70 iirc.
Awesome, can’t wait.
Unfortunately Sony is a for-profit entity and their board doesn't care about all this stuff, they care about making money, which Playstation is currently doing.
Very cool, Prey was a great game but the console versions were very rough at 30fps, this will make it like a new game.
Who is busy releasing next-gen games? I got both consoles on launch day and there's only 1 notable next-gen exclusive and it's a remake of a PS3 game.
This isn't a Blu-ray movie, the size of the file has nothing to do with rendering resolution.
I played it at launch on PS4, I liked it.
All one of them?
I've been having a lot of fun with it, just don't try to check out the edge of the map....
They’re lazy and don’t give a shit sadly. Their software on consoles anyway is wildly overrated. I bought both new consoles and the PS5 actually looks like a new console while the Series X uses the Xbox One UI.
It's all software, this could be fixed by Microsoft but it probably won't be because they think users don't care about 4K Blu-ray.
It's not that the drive is better, it's that its Blu-ray playback is better. It has nothing to do with the physical drive and everything to do with superior software. The Series X uses the exact same Blu-ray application that was for the Xbox One S and One X.
I played Control on the Xbox One X and it also had weird performance issues when the map was on screen so perhaps this is related. I'm currently downloading the ultimate editions on both Series X and PS5 (thanks PS+) and will see how they compare.
I probably won't upgrade because I rarely play my Switch in portable mode but OLED is vastly superior to LCD in most circumstances, I usually play my Switch docked on my C8 and PS5/Series X on an E9.
