The bigger issue is that Microsoft can't profit on an Xbox if they allow anyone to develop software that will run on it without paying a royalty. If they made the next-Xbox open like a PC they'd need to charge $1000 for it because there would be no guarantee that everyone decides to buy games on the Xbox Live store over Steam, Battle.net, etc.
Demon's Souls remake from Blue Point is supposedly a thing
At some point if they want to remain competitive.
That's a fair point, people didn't know that to expect after Killzone
I played it in March, kind of wish I waited for the English release but I didn't expect it so soon.
Lol at forcing a comparison to a game like God of War.
Exactly it will be more like Uncharted 4 / The Lost Legacy in that way. Still linear but bigger playboxes.
There aren't many multiplayer shooters on Switch.
PS4 got a physical release, Xbox One didn't.
SEGA is porting 0 and Kiwami to PC so it looks like it is growing in the west. It has been declining in Japan for years so they may be trying to make up lost ground.
I like Forza Horizon but wonder how they'll do with other genres.
The opening seconds of the trailer looked unbelievable. If they seriously achieve this on the PS4 it is a massive achievement. I kind of suspect though that it is actually representative of PS5 footage because some elements look significantly better than anything currently running on PS4 Pro or Xbox One X.
My feeling, Yakuza made me embrace the subs. At this point it wouldn't be right in English.
I really wonder if this is going to be a PS5 game because some of the shots look far too good. Maybe a cross-gen title with this being the PS5 version on display. If this is actually representative of PS4 Pro footage it's s an unbelievable achievement.
I played it on PC at native 4K last year.
Trailer was boring. Glad we finally got something that looked like it was rendering on the PS4 but they should have done more. Maybe if it didn't get unveiled the same night as TLOU Part II gameplay footage and Ghost of Tsushima footage it wouldn't have been as bad.
No one is forcing these people to buy a Mature rated / PEGI 18 game.
As far as actual footage, The Last of Us Part II was definitely the most impressive thing shown all week.
I hope not. I'm fine with Ellie being 50-60% of the play time but she shouldn't be the only character.
That's too bad since the demo was only 30fps anyway. Guess that confirms that it won't look as good as this trailer on Xbox One X and PS4 Pro.
