This makes sense because they will need to maintain some form of touch input for PS4 backwards compatibility and LCD and OLED displays keep getting cheaper. I mean, BMW now has car keys that have LCD displays on them.
PSNow definitely isn't nearly as popular and many of the best PS4 games don't have online.
Microsoft must monetize their platform more heavily than Sony. They've got people paying up to $180 a year for gold and gamepass.
Currently in chapter 6 of Red Dead and so far I prefer God of War. Red Dead is a really impressive technical achievement with a great world and visuals but many of the mechanics are very clunky for such a highly rated game. I still really like it but feel like Rockstar could have improved things by sacrificing "realism" for shorter more convenient animations.
God of War is the only one that I think realistically has a chance.
I have the Spider-Man one and the noise varies by game a lot. At it's worst it's similar to my launch PS4, maybe marginally quieter. I guess it would be nice to have a quieter one but the price of the Spider-Man one with the included DLC made it worth jumping on.
I am looking forward to it, looks very cool.
Honestly as it stands the game looks sorta better in the 1080p mode because the image sharpening is retained. You also get the added benefit of a better framerate. Hope Rockstar updates the game and gives users the option to choose non-checkboarded resolutions like 1500p or whatever is the pixel equivalent of 1920x2160.
Digital Foundry failed to mention part of the image quality issues on PS4 Pro in 4K mode stem from the disabling of the game's built in sharpening setting. I've been playing it in the 1080p mode on Pro due to this and the improved performance.
This is fake, everyone is reporting on a single post from Reddit. PS4 owners everywhere with P.T. still installed have reported that there is no update, that it remains on version 1.00, and that it still works fine. I have it on both of my PS4s and it still works.
Sure, but there are people that I would assume already own a PS4 at this point getting excited about something they can do to their own PS4 for $70. I put 2TB hybrid drives in both of my PS4s and turned the original hard drives that came with both consoles into USB drives with $5 hard drive enclosures from Amazon.
I have a 2TB hybrid drive in my Spider-man PS4 Pro. Not sure why people get excited for this stuff, any PS4 can have a 2TB hard drive in it.
Red Dead, not even close imo.
I disagree, the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X were anomalies created due to the sudden adoption of 4K TVs. It's highly unlikely Sony or MS will feel a need to push 8K mid-way through the next-gen due to diminishing returns so the PS5 and Xbox Two will probably go the whole generation without a true upgraded model.
I have noticed it and am actually playing in 1080p mode due to it which actually makes the framerate more stable too. Hopefully Rockstar updates the game and fixes the 4K mode while also giving users an in game option to force 1080p if they want it for the more stable framerate.
They disable the sharpening option in the 4K mode (or if you have supersampling enabled in your system menu and use a 1080p TV). PS4 Pro owners with 1080p TVs should disable super-sampling for now as the game actually looks better that way, and it eliminates the minor frame dips that occur in the 4K mode.
If you own an Xbox One X and a 4K TV, sure it does. If not, probably not outside of fanboy bragging rights.
I think it's almost guaranteed to given the marketing rights, the PS4's huge install base, and the console bundles.
I installed it on both of my PS4s from the disc version without issue.
Yeah, they may not do it but it they did they could implement some cool features like media controls on the touch screen, mini-apps on the touch screen, game specific features on the touch screen like virtual buttons, maps, etc.
