You're way off.
@whitbyfox: No, the ps1 came out in September of 95. Twisted Metal was released in November of that year.
@StoneyYoshi: My 360, I had to use the paper clip trick to get a disc out, after the tray stopped working once. For my PS1, I literally had to flip it upside down in order for the laser to keep reading.
Well that sucks.
Hey, Pilotwings 64 was no slouch.
Twisted Metal, Wipeout and Jumping Flash! were launch window. I remember because it was a great time, for me as a young college student. Felt like a new hot game was released every week.
I would say the Dreamcast and SNES launch titles were the strongest, imo.
Especially for those in Europe. N64 launched with Super Mario 64, Pilotwings 64, Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire and Turok. One killer game and 3 solid ones.
I, too miss the animus part of Assassin's Creed. I was doubtful about Valhalla, but a lot of Youtubers I trust (ACG, Downward Thrust to name a few) have praised the game and mentioned how it neatly ties together old lore with the new. Got me interested.
The old EGM motto: If both sides are accusing you of bias, you must be doing something right.
I don't care. Bf6 better be a banger.
@LucasRuinedChildhood: Something cool I learned from ACG's review that I hadn't heard anywhere else: Quick Resume also works on games running off of an external.
"Actually it’s more defense since you clowns always jump the gun and run with the first comparison/ rumor you get, regardless of its significance."
Remember all the Series X overheating rumors and all the bashing from Sony fanboys? It's a two way street.
Commendable. It's really, really hard to have a civil discussion about the pros and cons of the Series X and ps5 without all the fanboying. Big ups, Unself.
@purple101: Great news for those who will own a ps5.
Piqued? I'm here because I didn't know it was only a 6 month window. I haven't kept track of Godfall. I thought it would be forever a ps5 console exclusive.
I watched ACG's review of the Xbox One X. He showed how fast transfers are from a HDD to the console's SSD. I expect it to be a similar quick experience on the ps5.
@Sieg: In my group of gaming friends, we all use monitors. It's convenient for me. I have my monitor and console set up on the side and leave the tv for the Mrs and kids to watch their programs.
Cyperpunk 2077 is on two blu ray discs. I wonder how many gigs that game will eat up.
I remember when Bethesda acquired id. A lot of people (including me), hoped that they would drop the Creation engine and use the id tech engine.
...I guess not.
