I just think critics are delusional. The game isn’t a 10/10 even taking story into account. Horizon zero dawn is an amazing game! I’ve been playing it super slowly and I haven’t beaten it yet but every session is super entertaining and I love it!
It’s not about playing anything safe, it’s about attempting to subvert expectations in a twisted awful way. The story isn’t brave, it’s not doing anything groundbreaking. It’s plain and simply awful.

I’m only in it for the gameplay at this point. The story should have been resolved with remind and a new cast of characters introduced. Leave Sora alone man just let him end up with a happy ending. Rhythm game will be a YouTube trip for me.

I mean I disagree and I believe KH2 was easily the best game in the series, while several other games that followed were also great. I do agree that I hate how they turned Sora into a one dimensional character. I miss when all the characters had some huge part in the story and they all meant something. I feel like the story really started to decline from 2 onward, but the gameplay kept improving.
I mean honestly.. good. I feel as if the genre as a whole has been neglected and forgotten since the ps2 days. No other games give me the same kind of enjoyment as platformers do. I’m more excited about ratchet and clank than any other game they revealed.
You literally just compared them after saying the comparison needs to stop. Both excellent games, no need to hate on BOTW to make Horizon sound better. It can hold its own weight without putting down other great games

I mean on one hand I’m sad I got spoiled. I was really looking forward to the game, and I had every thought of it being an absolute masterpiece. On the other hand, I’m happy that I can just ignore the sequel and pretend like it doesn’t exist. The story ended nicely in the first game.
As long as I don’t have hour long copying on updates they could literally do nothing and I’d be happy so anything is a plus for me

This will likely be the last ps4 exclusive I’ll ever buy. What a great way to send off the console! This game looks amazing. With all of the negative aspects of TLOU2 leaks ruining my excitement for the game, this game really took over all of the excitement I once had for TLOU2. I can’t wait!!
I disagree wholeheartedly. While it did take a lot of inspirations from other games, it did things a lot differently. The boss fights were far more memorable in my opinion, granted there were only like 2 true boss fights. The gameplay was significantly improved, as I didn’t enjoy the style of gameplay as much in the other games. This one felt like it had a lot of weight behind it. I think the game was far above anything that came before, but that’s just my opinion!
I agree. I really enjoyed how well put together the first game was, and the second just felt like a big step in the wrong direction.
