I would vote for the 3 quits in a row suspension, if Destiny actually had decent matchmaking. Being put in an inexperienced team so you can go carry them to the finish 3 times in a row is equally frustrating lol
They are to a certain extent, but graphics will impove anyway as technology develops, whereas gameplay is timeless.
Meaning ppl wont likely be playing the best looking 2014 game in 5 years from now, but many will still play the classics that could be twice as old.
Perhaps a somewhat different perspective.. but also an important one I think
However when it comes to the economic side of games (i.e making money) attractive graphics can help selling ...
Amnesia: The dark descent, but i see the upcoming Silent Hills as a serious contender, should it be similar to P.T
Outlast was good too btw
Yeah, maybe 1% of the ppl who own Skyrim on pc can run this
Its impressive what they do with mods sometimes, but these comparisons are really pointless on many aspects
Edit: Maybe when The Witcher 3 comes out they can compare it with the PC version set on Ultra, that would atleast negate some of these aspects
Either im having a deja-vu or I faintly remember a topic about dark/white skin detail.. But i believe the outcome was that darker skin has more apparent light deflection, thus shows more details. Or something in that sense (this goes for most games)
But yeah, the more info I read about the game, the more excited I am to play:)
Not sure why i couldnt edit my prev post,
But i can also see The Witcher 3 outshining Skyrim in many ways, as said above, two different approaches to open world RPG
I believe both have their charms, if you give it the time and are able to absorb the atmosphere, Skyrim can practically feel like a 2nd home, much like F3 did
Yh, hopefully itll replace it as go to open-world game:) as Skyrim does get stale after 3 years..
But both Skyrim (and Fallout for that matter) are a different beast.
I see those 2 games as a big blank painting, ready for you to give it any shape or colour.
Be it a barbaric nord bandit with a heart for literature and romance novels, or a mushroom eating wood elf hippie with his own alchemy store, its all possible
Uncertainty as well as unpredictability, scripted events tend to feel forced in a way. And might give you a feeling that this is how its meant to happen, at this specific time, with a specific solution.
Whereas with more dynamic games , it feels more alive, and every choise can be a possible death trap. Building a more realistic sense of fear
My experience as vet horror player anyway :D
Hooray, someone with common sense
Im playing on pc (laptop) aswell, but only for horrors and some oldschool stuff like Quake, as the ps4 outperforms my laptop easily with new AAA games.
But ofcourse if you dont have a $1500 rig you're not a pc player right? /s
@caseh
Yeah, when it comes to expansions/DLC ill probably wait for a GOTY or ultimate edition somewhere next year(?).
Perhaps then it'll be a better game
The very reason i quit playing after 1-2 weeks, if post-level 20 is where the real game starts, then it is by far the most tedious and flat game i have played recent years.
Hell it even makes the campaign look good lol
I have a feeling this is why many are still playing, but for the wrong reasons.
Cool, so thats another 1-1,5 hours added to my total playtime.. lol
You bet your sweet ass the majority will pre order and buy it day one though, such is the short-sightedness of the modern gaming community
Imean if they really are that stupid, then I say those ppl deserve to be ripped off
I just hope you can turn PvP off, especially when ur playing alone. In my experience with drop-in multiplayer, players can sometimes be real asses and ruin the games immersion instead of enforcing it.
But since Dead Island had an option to turn off drop-in coop, its probably still there. I'll most likely try mp, but some days you just want to do your own thing
I already sold it, but might wait for the GOTY or complete edition with all DLC included next year or so. Since the game is ok, but fails to deliver on the content part
Love it :D The environment has a bit of a Far Cry 2 vibe to it.
I also like the climbing mechanic, hopefully you can climb huge cliffs and such, do some sighseeing as it looks really nice
Just give it time, RPGs like these are quite big (both in scale and content)
I remember starting Fallout 3 years ago as probably my first big openworld RPG, having no idea what to expect. It was pretty intimidating and confusing at first but it has grown to be one of my fav games.
I hope this game will do the same for you
I kind of wish they would just stick to local music that tie directly into the game (I doubt you will find Himalayan natives listening to the newest pop songs) But I don't want to judge the game on just that, still got plenty of cool stuff :)
