Not sure why you got those disagrees, all you said has been confirmed weeks ago by either Todd or Pete Hines.
Call me crazy but I'm starting to feel people just want to hate on the game for not being SP only.
He's got a point though.
No one likes being force fed something, regardless what it is. In truth it often gets the exact opposite result.
If someone told you everywhere you went that horses are the best thing ever and you're a hater, or a lesser person for not being into horses, you'd start to strongly dislike horses and the people telling you such things too.
Extreme example yes, but same principle.
The thing I see happening with TLoU 2 is that, now that they've made the LGBT thing a highlight of their game (to what extent remains to be seen, but with the game's director being into leftist politics, you can kinda guess) They're leaving the door open for groups and websites like Kotaku to peddle their shit as well. And once you let these people get a foot in the door, they aren't leaving, ever.
I've seen this happening to other companies, often...
Hope it has a good amount of weapon mods that each have a different look, they still had it in Dying Light, but to a lesser extent than in the earlier Dead Island games. Game looked great at E3, looking forward to it.
One image that still sticks with me is where rode his horse through the fields, with the wind blowing over the tall grass. That was really well done as far as world design goes.
Currently playing through Pillars of Eternity, that game was backed on kickstarter. Very highly rated game.
I hear you. Though they've mentioned a few times that the game simply won't "allow" players to constantly kill you if you're against it. So I'm curious to see how exactly they'll handle these things, what systems they've put in place.
I'm still on the fence, not that I don't believe Pete, but in my experience people will almost always find ways to troll or be a nuisance in MP games.. he might be a bit too optimistic about online gaming.
Nah, in a scenario where an entire city has gone to hell and "citizens'' are robbing and murdering eachother (i.e torching people alive) for a new pair of shoes, the gang with the biggest guns rules, and in The Division's case that is the government who have trained agents specifically for such situations.
Also by your own logic, a statement could be different for any individual, depending on their interpretation. Just like how it works with art. If you...
Agreed. I'm not against devs making whatever they wish though, they are free to create whatever. But if it has that peculiar scent of forced politics to it, I don't want a part of it.
Thought the demo itself leaked for a second..

If you want to play it in single player, just wait a few months after release. They'll add the option to have your own private world and even play around with mods later.
You can go solo, but not as in single player. They mentioned that you can turn off your icon on the map though, so people can't find you or hunt you down to bother you, but thats as close as you'll get to solo I think.
I recall both Pete and Todd from BethSoft saying that they want to avoid creating what is basically one big deathmatch with nukes. So I imagine they'll introduce systems that incentivize players to team up rather than shoot on sight.
Interested in playing this, though I've yet to play Origins..
I don't recall domestic violence ever being celebrated though. If anything it's been shunned and rightfully so.
But regardless, if you think this is an innocent single instance and is in no way tied to politics, then that's your thing.
I've seen it before however with other companies and IP's, and remain skeptical about the situation.
Beat me to it, good comment.
The social landscape is vastly different now than it was in the 80s or 90s. There's no denying that there is a big ongoing push for diversity and representation, social justice movements, women's liberty marches, you name it.
Many people have gotten tired of that stuff, so they get frustrated when such politics are being pushed into the media they enjoy, like movies and games.
Some people just don't want to deal with politics in every aspect of the...
Don't be so quick to call people narrow-minded. Being progressive isn't always for the better.
Didn't The Walking Dead also turn out to be a 4player co-op zombie shooter? That along with Days Gone's zombie hordes.. idno if this game has enough going for it to set it apart.
What..? So having a straight dev team now equals to lower quality games?
Regarding ND being political, Druckmann stated a while back that he puts his political beliefs into his games. So yes, they are forcing an agenda. And yes, you can choose not to be on board with that.
Yeah, even though I'm excited to try the game out.. I've been playing MP games for well over a decade, and it can get nasty pretty fast, especially with online gaming being rather ''toxic'' compared to years ago. Hell I'd wager if BethSoft tried to combat griefing, the playerbase would double down on the trolling and griefing like its some sort of challenge.
Maybe only after a year or two, that kind of stuff would die down, when the more aggr...
