Gotta disagree with his opinion on not knowing what to expect out of FFX from its cover. The guy's got a sword, a weird neo-eclectic vibe in clothing/sword, and is on a beach, signifying water will have a lot to do with the environment/story. They could have done more, but I'd definitely rank it above FFXIII and even FFXV(The old cover was better IMO).
I'm not buying Nintendo Switch until we get a $50 price drop. Ninty will always have a place in my heart but I've been sick of them abandoning core gamers for the last decade all in the name of 'innovation'. Even this console isn't ideal for my tastes- I'd much rather they have done a full-fledged main console as this thing will probably rarely leave my living room. I mean seriously, who's going to lug around a giant tablet game console everywhere? Can I bring ...
@FatalAim
So true. One big one I see I see is Scalebound, and MS didn't even stop Kamiya from the douche main character and dubstep. That could have been RPG GOLD considering everyone loves the dragon genre and multi-online would be somewhat revolutionary as a J/W/ARPG. It was so perfect, but they didn't have the balls to do anything about it.
Then you have the Rare IPs they're just shitting on. I mean, rereleasing 20 year old games is jus...
Personally, I think this would be the best thing for Nintendo. It would create extreme competition for Sony which neither brand is able to do on their own. It would also give Nintendo a far larger install base. Sega to Sony, Nintendo to Microsoft. As long as MS isn't allowed overhead on Nintendo's operations in the company, this would be one of the greatest mergers in gaming.
Betting on $299, and I hope it's worth the price. I still wish it was a full-fledged console, but if this is the only way I can get my Ninty fix, so be it.
Exactly... If they could get 3rd party devs from 3DS in on a full powered console and push a good/intuitive engine like UE4 usage, we'd see some magical things happening with Nintendo. Same with other 3rd party devs from PS/Xbox... And there are tons of 3rd party players that only play CoD/Battlefield/Sports/etc, that would LOVE to add Mario to their game line-up(and even make Ninty their main/only console). Nintendo would have casual gaming on lock if they'd wisen up, and robust ...
I wonder how well 1440p scales to 4K with checkerboard... That would be a nice compromise for better graphics.
Hmm... Guess I don't game enough =X
I just can't see a scenario where a game literally about Kirito's harem is going to turn out any good. They could have done a progressive story on each floor, RPG systems, beaters, taking cues from the SAO Progressive books, etc, but instead they made it about chicks chasing Kirito around, and better yet, they added more of em'. Good job! The one thing we didn't need more of in SAO.
Gotta agree with Foxtrot here. You're talking about a multi-billion dollar company versus rag-tag people who just want to do good. This isn't Xbox's charity, it's the gamers. Xbox should have atleast matched the gamer's donations.

Well that's what they're doing is outsourcing. They're actually naming off the groups as well which I think is a cool thing for Square, letting other studios get some limelight. There's Hexadrive, CyberConnect, some Taiwanese studio, and another I've forgotten. They won't get main credits on the start screen, but they're getting good press(although I've forgotten two of them)
Like I said though, it's Business Division 2 that's the ...
@Edimix
Actually Cyberconnect is just an extra team working on it. Square's primary team is working on FFVIIR as well. Cyberconnect is likely just there for some extra tasks like locking off areas and disc switching(they did alot of data transfer games with .hack)
FFXV is doing the same thing, outsourcing other tasks to other studios like Hexadrive for UI, and a few other studios as well. But S-E Business Division 2 is developing the game mainly.
As long as FFVIIR is completed, I think 16 will take 2-3 years after that. If you remember, FFvXIII/XV was hindered by FFXIII production and the the in-house engine. DQ11, KH3, and FFVIIR are going the Unreal Engine route which is how I think things will progress from now on. Considering all of those games are PS4-gen, I can't imagine a scenario where FFXVI won't get a ton of support in PS5 gen.
I'll bet it's within a year or two of PS5 launch because they're not going to use an in-house engine, and then also have a feeling Tabata and Nomura will work on it. Good stuff happens when those two work together.

A major cash cow for the liberal agenda? How so? Who does exposing climate change profit? NASA? 90% of scientists? 97% of climate scientists? The Pentagon? The answer is nobody. And yes, NASA has done their homework.
Who does the oil lobby profit? Republicans, oil companies, lobbyists. See where I'm going with this?
@Antifan
Fuck construction and real estate. Some of the dirtiest money in the business.
I'm actually hoping for a 30-locked version that throws everything else on Pro into resolution/AA, as well.
Edit, it's got one, sorry, didn't read!
