Save files not carrying over is such a non issue, i dont see any scenario where someone can who played it so long ago would want to jump back into a old save.
If 3 games in a 6 year period feels the same then it would be a problem.
Why would they do that when you would buy the cheaper option for them for the same price?
They’re just yappin to appease investors when they will be delayed a minimum of a year and half easily or will be alot smaller and reusing assets.
Hopefully that’s what was pitched to MS when funding was agreed on and not just another attempt to get unlimited funding to work on PS games like the scalebound devs.
Article waits until the day of the new update that speeds up the previous level issues and they have already detailed the next changes
Never a reason to buy a digital movie when you can get deals on physicals and they always come with a digital code. Or if you want to be ethical, buy digital at a heavily discounted price and then download or pirate it and back it up to multiple sources.
New players are literally the least affected by it, they can’t miss something they never experienced and the original campaign has nothing to do with the last few DLCs. The only ones that have a right to complain are the ones that purchased the game before it went F2P, and i doubt even they, with all the complaining, would ever go back and complete the original campaign over the DLC stories, tho it does sucks that some raids are gone,
Atleast he didn’t lie about the reason, sucks jobs are lost but some of these games have been announced 5+ years ago and can only muster the occasional “phil has play tested” or tech demos with no release date in sight. Sucks to say but they need tight deadlines and less freedom. Get some creative directors with clear vision and give them the devs to make it happen, don’t give an entire studio the freedom to make a passion project because they will treat it as a hobby.
MS owns both devs, if they want it, a 3rd party will make it.
It exists as a crutch of the growing cases of bad optimizations by devs and for the lack of innovation in the GPU power technology. They don’t know how to make cards more powerful without it directly translating to more expensive and power hungry cards so they have to rely on software tricks that introduce smearing and input lag. Regular DLSS is fine, frame gen is where i draw the line.
N4g forgot to turn off the Helldiver article bot
Stuff like 3d models and animations are developed outside of the game engine and can be imported into another engine without much hassle, assets just need to be imported into the new engine and moved around and animations need to be rescripted and I doubt they were far enough into development for that to cause issue
The performance leap wont be as dramatic next gen since CPUs still struggle in those small cases so they will still be CPU limited with at best another 50% to 75% perf increase. The One X and Series X launched at the same price with more of a jump.
So you own the game so instead of reinstalling and testing for your “curiosity” you definitively made up your mind based of an AI generated article from a site that will push stories based of 1 or 2 comments.
About 90% apparently. US accounts for 3%. So thats less than 70k concurrent for the US, would think the US would have more the way they are hyping it up but considering China doesn’t get many AAA singleplayer games, they were starved.
Or dont buy now? Games only get cheaper after release, they don't get paid by playtime.
Still need to maintain some type of power for 3rd party support, Nintendo gets left out of more 3rd party releases than Microsoft and that is comparing the top selling to the lowest selling currently supported consoles.
It never made it past the alpha test, doubt he’ll get a mention.
