Locking on disc content for an entire year is 100% different from having paid future DLC be exclusive for only 1 month.
Absolute trash, no real tension. It's a battle shounen but every fight is ended with "the power of friendship". It established lore and rules to the magic and breaks them whenever possible. The character literally one punches a "god" and even even uses "friendship power" to defeat the final enemy. It insults it fans as it treats them like retards who will accept anything.
Just like a lot of anime series that are based on ongoing mangas, the games are just made as a marketing tool for the manga, thus not having the budget or being quickly rushed out.
The actual offended are the minority, the second hand offended are actually a large portion of the vocal part of the internet.
