Locking on disc content for an entire year is 100% different from having paid future DLC be exclusive for only 1 month.
Absolute trash, no real tension. It's a battle shounen but every fight is ended with "the power of friendship". It established lore and rules to the magic and breaks them whenever possible. The character literally one punches a "god" and even even uses "friendship power" to defeat the final enemy. It insults it fans as it treats them like retards who will accept anything.
Just like a lot of anime series that are based on ongoing mangas, the games are just made as a marketing tool for the manga, thus not having the budget or being quickly rushed out.
The actual offended are the minority, the second hand offended are actually a large portion of the vocal part of the internet.

I don't think any of them go in these projects with the sole objective of putting out a finished product, it's most likely people that are searching for full time jobs in the gaming industry and remaking big games like Zelda and Mario is a easy way for people to click on their videos and check out their work. A portfolio of sorts. Nintendo can't stop the creation of fan projects but they can stop the distribution.
Literally only 1 game in the series had 4 player coop, anyone that is disappointed hasn't been paying attention. You also can't really "focus much" on the story without spoiling it and besides guns, you can't really spoil multiplayer.
I'm seeing a very bad trend with Xbox Studios basing maps around this highly unified boring look of just metal walls, metal stairs, metal everything and maps not looking very unique at all. Halo started to do this with 4 with the overuse of the metal texture and Gears did some of that in 4 but I hope most maps don't come out like this. I miss the atmospheric levels like Mansion, Raven Down, and Fuel Depot from Gears 1. Most likely a way to get around implementing environment destru...

Retail copy discs are most likely brought from verbatim as they are the biggest blank disc seller and you would want the code that is being sent from gold copies to retail to be on the exact same model of disc to avoid any possiblity of compatibility issues or space discrepancies.
Pretty sure Nintendo bought cheaper chips that cannot hit the speeds that a docked switch could so enabling docking would only have people outputting very blurry mobile version of their games and that wouldn't be a good look.
