Wait in the video there is no ps move controller...Does this mean the pseye for ps4 captures bidy movement too??

Look at crackle.com

Sony owns it and its free (with commercials). IDK if its profitable, but hey they have to start somewhere and they have a PS3 app.

I know HBO and Showtime were thinking of doing an AP without being a cable/satellite subscriber, but the cable companies rallied up and threatened to cut them out of bundles.

^^^Xbox1 fanboys

Meet playTV.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
"released in 2008".

Its like stating MS was first to have a motion camera when eyetoy came out on PS2.

If anything Sega gets the credit, they had a TV tuner for the GAME GEAR. Way before Sony and MS stepped into the ring. It was made in the 90's!

They will remove kinect to make the console price cheaper, just wait. If PS4 is beating MS in sales, definitely expect it.

Then a year from launch kinect will only be supported in a handful of games, but atleast you can say Xbox "go home".

But if its not required why bundle it?

4689d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

Crossing Eden - their initial reveal to e3 states otherwise.

I wouldn't say they lied, but holy $%#% they can't keep a valid business plan.

At this rate, DRM will come back and the console supports HD DVDs.

@Abash

If MS makes the SKU without the kinect, they will more than likely split support for the camera among developers (why work on a feature only 50% has or why waste the time).

I definitely foresee a Kinect free bundle coming at 400$ in the not so distant future. Ironically, day 1 xbox1 owners will get screwed for being early adopters. Then these early adopters feeling some "buyers" remorse will try and justify themselves by stating they actually...

YLOD was within acceptable industry standards.

RROD was not. MS handled it the best way they could.

Will YLOD happen again? I doubt it, and when you see the PS4 has all type of vents.

Xbox1 is more encased (I saw it upclose to verify), but with all these policy changes lately it seems they are rushing the console out. Could RROD happen again? Only time will tell.

I only pre-order when there are incentives to do so i.e. free maps, guns, etc.

It is very "rare" to see any pre-order incentives for digital titles. If digital titles start to off the same thing, I might consider. Until then, physical disk FTW.

While you are downloading your games, I will pop the disk is any enjoy it within the first 5 minutes. When I am done, I'll probably let a friend borrow it. If he likes it, he will probably buy the actual game and lend it to one of his friends to try it out.

See the pattern? If developers want to combat used games do it via online passes or Day 1 FREEEEEE DLC.

You can still pre-order and if you do, you get free maps. I highly recommend you do that.

I dislike MS but I do realize they do have "some" good ideas. If the PS4 was the only console on the market, why would Sony feel the need to innovate?

4694d ago 5 agree0 disagreeView comment

I agree, and i "betcha" Sony will offer some kind of cloud service or the ability to download digital titles on the same system (not 2 mind you), as many times as you want.

Personally, when I have too much data on HDD..it "forces" me to try and play some of games I forgot to get my fill and then delete it.

^^^^ I bought the Wii fit, biggest regrettable game purchase I have ever made.

Even more so than the ram upgrade for the N64 and buying a Sega 32x 2 months before Sega releases the Sega Saturn.

You must of forgotten the whole RROD fiasco. Also Ms spent way too much on timed DLC.

But, the might of recuuped that cost via Xbox live.

Hopefully, MS decided to forgo the "early" DLC BS, and fund games development instead (exclusives).

Sony sold the PS3 IIRC at a loss for the first 3-4 years, however they did win the bluray battle.

IMHO, they did great with the PS3 but the marketing sucked in...

@ backwards compatibility

Funny I STILL have a PS3 that plays ps2 games. How was it removed from existing consoles that had it built in?

Wait, you mean new cheaper models that don't mention anything on the box or product details? If you wanted backwards compatibility you could of either A) Bought a launch PS3 or B) KEEP YOUR PS2. Problem solved.

@root kits
Linux could of been a better argument, however some hacker found a backdoor...

4695d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I agree- It's like EA releasing an exclusive game.

I still can't believe MS ponied up millions for timed DLC for GTA 4 which eventually came to PS3.

4696d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

@Thepro-

You might providing a link? L.A. Noire came out on 360 too.

Now if you mean they "bought" some exclusive content, then you are correct. Both MS and Sony do, however sometimes MS will work out an agreement for exlclusive/timed dlc is they help market the game. Example: Call of Dootie.

I don't think its a troll question. The Kinnect 1.0 wasn't impressive.

Would you rather save the money then using it on peripheral you don't plan to use?

Example - If Apple lowered the price of their phone by 100$ and said SIRI was optional for an additional 100$ - who would really pay extra for SIRI? (Answer- Hipsters)

Example 2 - A new car purchase. Instead of getting of getting 4 wheel drive, you purchase a better sound system....
