The reason for the proprietary memory cards is due to piracy (hence no other memory card is available).
I agree the price is way too much, but you can always delete games and re-download them for later use or store them on a PC or PS3.

If you mean as in, PS+ needs to "check in" well thats only when you have to go online and renew your subscription. Example- My Vita is almost never online (0-last 3 months) as i take for entertainment while I travel.
Now that I think about it, I have yet to play a Vita game online.
Same here- I plan on purchasing a Wii u once Mario Kart comes out. The main reason is because Nintendo is still king of local split screen play.
Not only that, you have to consider paying to play online X years you own the system.
That's an additional $100 now. Do just for first year (400) + (500)+ (50) + ~(50) = 1000 + games on both.
To me its about the exclusives and the way Microsoft decided to pay for DLC instead of games, makes me worry.

I played every motorstorm and enjoyed them except for the rc toy game.

You also get a PlanetSide 2 which is a free-mium game. I played it on PC, its awesome and accommodates alot of playstyles.
I played it at Comic Con. It was "pretty" but just wan't my cup of tee. Killzone though - Hot damn that game looks good. CAn't wait to see how multiplayer is going to look like.

I am unsure of Drive Club. The 30fps rumored are sorta of downer for me, would of preferred a new motorstorm instead (lunatics unite!)
Forza and Killzone are established franchises. Some hate KZ (for reasons I do not know), but the gameplay is solid. Forza is a proven great racer that strives to 1up Gran Tourismo with each new outing. The only thing it's lacking is car choice in comparison to GT.

I remember Sony getting so much Flack for removing the "OtherOS" feature because of piracy and exploits.
I absolutely guarantee Microsoft will do the same, and remove "Windows-like" OS components and possibly reinstate some form of DRM. When the DRM comes back, I wonder how much respect the trully local MS "Fans" will still have.

Sure you could do this For Ps4 dev kits, but those are itemized. Once Sony figures out who it is, they can put a block on it via Hardware MAC address and then punish the person legally.

Hyper V is great in a theory i.e. the OS Kernal will crash and not effect the gaming side. But if a game allocates 2 more gigs of gaming (a total of 7 now), certain features will have to be disabled. Example, Forza X uses 7 gig (5 auto-alloted and 2 from hyper V) would not be able to be able to switch to "TV" more or enable any DVR equipment.
