Gears 1 looks better than R2
Gears 2 will be the biggest and one of the best exclusive titles of 2008, not to mention it will be the biggest seller of the year
Shooter GOTY 2008 = Gears of War 2
Nomination if not GOTY 2008 = Gears of War 2
R2 is just a standard shooter which just has a multiplayer which is so large it kills all strategic aspects of the FPS genre
Instead of buying new studios it seems MS is just trying to create one of the best around by taking the best people from the most respected studios
Not that surprising the UK is 360 land just like the US is, similar tastes mean similar sales
i guess hardware isnt only factor which makes games not possible on another platform
the same could be said about the last generation, the xbox was much more powerful than the ps2 evenmore so than the gap is this gen yet great lookin games still came out of the ps2
The same will happen with the 360 once devs master the 360 theres no telling what they could do
i wonder how many will be PSN titles, im guessing at least 3 quarters

If MS announce a 360 slim right before xmas there will be utter chaos!!
It looks like 2009 will also be the year of the 360, launching a year earlier has certainly been a HUGE advantage for MS

Are you even allowed to write stories with words like 'incredible', 'awesome' or 'jaw-dropping' because quite a few PS3 stories have been submitted like that, but i thought it was against the rules

The only reason this is desperation is because, like i said in my original post, Sony has repeatedly stated that they werent dropping the price this year.
Since they are, they are clearly desperate since they had to go back on a previous statement
Sounds like desperation, they'd probably have better luck dropping the price in japan not the US
Especially after they stated over and Over that they wouldnt, its seems Sony cant help lying to its costumers and shareholder

Thats way too early in the year, MS would want to sell as much as possible both hardware and software wise when in comes to Halo and a Jan release wont do that especally an early Jan release
I bet thats when they will release another trailer or more details on the project rather than a release date
Considering the 360 is currently selling better in the 3 biggest markets the US, UK and Japan the EU isnt all that important
But the funny thing is the PS3 only outsells the 360 by a small 10k margin in the EU which isnt anything to brag about lol

Not looking good for a console whos installbase was 120ml and is still better value AND newer to the market so demand should still be high

Wouldnt surprise me if the 360 surpassed the PS2 with the largerst number of AAA games on a single platform.
