Since I am neither a 10 year old girl, nor looking to have a family anytime soon, none of these "games" would get me to buy a Kinect.
Edit: Are you disagreeing with me because you think I am a 10 year old girl or that I am looking to start a family? Cause I'm pretty positive neither are true.
I would recommend an emulator and some roms, as you are missing out on classic games that make up some of the best of all time. I still go back and play the old zeldas and DKCs.
You probably are going to get a lot of disagrees for that, but I agree with you. I was never a huge fan of the original golden eye. I don't think I'll enjoy this one either.
Whether or not you are a nintendo fan, you can't deny that Nintendo brought it. Games that made Nintendo big through out the years are coming back. Everyone that loved the Nintendo of old should be extremely happy
If there wasn't so much pressure to show a new Zelda, they probably would not have shown it. I'm all for games taking longer to make/show as long as they are more polished. I would have been fine with them saying they are working on a new zelda rather than showing off faulty mechanics.
Same for me, I feel a lot of new wii sales are going to come from "hardcore" gamers.
Makes the 3DS a must buy for old school nintendo fans
But Japanese RPGs are a thing of the past right?
I was concerned that the yarn thing would kill the game, but the video changed that. Still a little worried, but stoked for a new Kirby game.
Really smart move to keep the gameplay mostly the same as the originals. All of the nintendo fans of the 90s are coming out of the shadows right now.
Didn't have a wii before, only an old DS. Looks like I might be picking up some new Nintendo hardware.
Its a day 1 buy, but only if they have the titles ready to go. Otherwise I'm willing to wait until the games are out.
It actually makes since, almost every casual in the world has a wii, so the Nintendo tries to bring the hardcore fans back. Its almost reverse with MS, except not to the same degree.
This is a broad generalization, but almost works.
Where you watching the same show? Nintendo killed it. Most of the games were great. I'm not sure of the 3DS will turn out, but I'm expecting good things.
Unless Sony has a lot to show (which I'm sure it will), Nintendo "wins" this E3.
I would like to see that come out of Kinect, but based on todays conference, Kinect will have little to nothing to do with hardcore games.
Where is the Fable 3 - Kinect interaction? Is it just not possible to have more technical/skilled games usable with the Kinect?
I would love for MS to prove me wrong, but I will won't buy the Kinect unless they do.
I think a big factor comes down to pricing. Whichever is cheaper will usually dominate the casual crowd.
I think this conversation on Move vs. Kinect will be more relevant when we see what the Move has in store for gamers, both casual and hardcore.
@Soad
Are the casuals that already have a wii willing to buy a console that has many games that can be "looked at" as copies of games they might already own.
I know casuals are usually uniformed, but unless they can see it as a totally different machine than the wii, I don't think it will sell well. But that could just be my feeling of a let down 360 owner that wanted to see some new IPs.
How about we wait until after Sony's conference tomorrow before we discuss (or troll) about the future of the consoles.
And do you really care if MS wins the console "war" with Sony if they tap into the casual populace to do it? Its not going to put any pressure on Sony to pump out good "hardcore" games if they are the only system that cares about our crowd anymore.
I wonder if it would have been better to wait and ship with Kinect. Buying a 360 slim + Kinect bundle sounds better than just buying kinect.
If you have the money, there is no reason any hardcore or casual gamer should not buy this handheld. OMG Starfox 64!
