Considering kinect is marketed at kids (for now) you would think that the device would be a little better at scanning and seeing children

Kinect could be 10$ and I still wont buy it. At least until it has some decent games.
Not trying to bash, but MS isn't in the habit of putting perfect products on the market. It's not that they want people to have bad products but they have to think about money and investors. They sooner its out, the sooner it can be sold.
Odds are that kinect works kinda like they wanted, but an average family that buys it probably wont know that it isn't working the way it was supposed to.

I don't really understand why there are haters of a technology. Every major television and electronics designer has or is making a 3DTV. So hating 3D because of Sony is baseless.
Major networks are starting to hop on, namely ESPN.
This isn't a little niche thing, millions of people a day are seeing 3DTV advertised by many different companies. I don't know how big it will get or when it will really take off, but its def here to stay

MNR and HR were not nearly as hyped as the other games. It all comes down to advertising, and MS is known for extreme advertising. So much that most games can't live up to it.
Your 2nd statement is misleading (if you are telling the truth) by saying how all the PS3 games are hyped and MS games are not. Because thats just being biased and untrue

I didn't really think ODST was over hyped. I didn't think it was good, besides getting the Halo 3 maps, but not really over hyped. It was never really a "Halo" game. Like Halo Wars

I can't say that a special edition version of DR2 is worth spending money on for either console. I liked the 1st one, but lets be serious.

I don't have a ps3, and yes the It Only Does Everything Crap is annoying.
But being ignorant to the fact that the ps3 does sell, make a profit, and is very enjoyable to its owners is also extremely annoying.

Its not the advertising strategy that is annoying, its how fans use the slogan it to claim superiority. It's a slogan. That's it.
I really feel that innovation and new ideas are out there. They just get swept away by the big dogs because they didn't think of it first.
Give the best indie company the resources to build an AAA title and I think everyone will be amazed.
It's almost like the people running the show in entertainment are out of ideas. From movies to videogames, it's all about remakes and sequels. In both industries its seems like there a only a few devs/writers/etc that continue to bring out new bold flavors.
In times like these, I would like to see the big dogs turn to the smaller, indie community to see what they are up to. I wouldn't mind them giving a smaller team a change to produced a AAA game.
I haven't bought a new GH since 3. But say a new hot IP came out and was published by activision. Are you really not going to buy it because of the producer? I don't dislike activision enough to not buy a game I want.
All of the stuff included in Fable 2 was a good idea. The way they implemented it just came out wrong. As in it did not add to the game at all.
I don't know how to correctly add this kind of stuff, but I will not buy the game if it is just Fable 2.5 with a different story.
It's not a gimmick considering every other big TV developer is producing or will produce 3DTVs.
And ESPN hopping on the bandwaggon will definitely help the cause.

It's definitely good for the ps3 to have more developers, but steam? I couldn't care less.
