I feel like the only good thing about Fable 2 was the action gameplay. I though it was smooth and easy to do. But then if you arn't rushing through the game and get you stats and weapons up, the game becomes a bore. They needed an extra/hidden tough boss after the end.
It takes some balls to stand by your word to someone higher on the totem pole than you. I applaud him for that
Putting up with a douche boss is definitely easier than the first run through of Demon Souls.
Until the world wide economy takes a turn for the better, then the gaming industry will continue to decline and jobs will be lost.
The problem with the older fables was that all the add-on stuff was pointless. Marriage/Sex/Kids was there just to be there.
If they could actually add meaning to the extra content, then I would be pleased.
And make the game more challenging, please. Fable 2 was extremely easy to the point of boring.
I really hope they don't blow this game. The first was amazing.
I don't really understand why they are worrying about their image to the few gamers that really know the difference between a game developer and publisher. If there is a good game put out by activision, almost all of us gamers will buy it.
They should be worried about their image to devs and others that are actually in the gaming business.
It's neither. It's also not a game. It was some kind of experiment for MS and kinect.
It will not be made into a game. Maybe certain features will, but a game about Milo is not going to happen.
It's a shame, really. Cartoony racing games have always been a blast for all kinds of gamers. I played mario kart wii for 100+ hours in multiplayer matches and it was all about winning and skill.
Taking the skill out of a racing game, now you don't really have a game at all.
A question to another point brought up, I am guessing that I will have no other friends that will own this game.
Is that a big deal? Or is it pretty easy to meet people through the game.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, MMO n00b here.
I really hate to argue for either game since neither are actual out yet. It's not like both developers are at the exact same phase at the same time, for us to compare them to each other.
How about when we have the finished product of both, we can redo this article? Or is that too much to ask
Yeah, I meant XI. So I'm going to my senior year of collage with alot going on, so I shouldn't look at getting FF14 when it comes out? Time is not going to be something I have a lot of.
I've had 13 for months and I still am only 30 hours in. I actually like the game, I just can't muster up the time to beat it. I've played maybe 3 hours of games in the past couple of weeks.
It's easy to get into. A beginner will most likely play against players with similar skills. A new player will pick it up and not get too discouraged.
For other FPS, it's tough to stay playing when everyone is mostly likely to destroy you from the get go.
And I know experienced players will get new gamer tags to try and level up to get the 50 quicker, but I feel that this is not that common. And a new player will not face them often.
Never really played a MMO, and I don't have a computer that could play one.
Is it worth getting on a console? I love RPGs, is FFIX similiar to a normal FF game?
It's definitely a way to bring a product to the masses. I'm from a small town that most likely will not have kinect at our small mall, so it won't work in my town.
Will it work for the bigger cities? maybe, maybe not. can't fault microsoft for trying... I know I try to avoid kiosks when I do go to bigger city malls.
I just bought a Wii, so I hope that it will be out for another couple of years. An HD update would be nice, but is it really necessary? Especially considering most wii owners are casual and would not upgrade just to have HD.
If the wii sales are still high in the next coming years, nintendo will have no reason to push for the next gen.
metacritic has nothing to do with AAA status. Metacritic deals with ratings and scores, which does not have to do with AAA.
AAA is the amount of money and production put into a game. An indie game could be a 100% on metacritic, but would still not be AAA due to the low production and money put into it.
Another way of deeming AAA that I have heard from producers is that if a game is expected to sell 1 mil, then you could consider it AAA.
But ...
@bigpappy
I should hope that you see the HUGE difference between your argument and his.
Bowling (real life) vs. Bowling (video game w/ motion) are very similar.
Playing a FPS vs. joining the military - not similar. I could describe the difference, but I hope I wouldn't have to.
The lack of precision in this game (and possibly other kinect games) could put it as the least competitive motion system.
I put spin on the ball when I bowl in real life. Why wouldn't I want to do it in a video game. Can kinect capture the my wrist turning?
Nothing wrong with cocaine and prostitutes, though. Don't knock it til ya try it.
