If you can't see the value of the games Nintendo announced, then I feel for you. DKC, Mario, Zelda may not have the blood and guts of other "hardcore" games, but they are not just casual games.
Just cause an 8 year old can enjoy it doesn't mean a 21 year old can't.

Personally I think Nintendo won, but Sony had more of a "wow" feel more than MS, especially towards the end.
I feel like both Nintendo and Sony had excellent conferences. How you would rank them comparatively would depend on each persons preferences on games.
Was dying to see The Last Guardian.

Literally Last Guardian was the one game I wanted to see out of all of E3. I'm not a huge fan of rockstar, and I didn't expect UC3, so that wasn't disappointing.
I don't want to rank conferences, but I was pleased with both Nintendo and Sony (both had good and bad) and unimpressed with MS. And whats funny is that I only own a 360 and a DS. Wallets going to be hurting in the next couple months.
It's there if you want it, if not, not buying it doesn't hurt your online play. I'll wait for more details before making a decision.
Is it good or bad, but the last 20 minutes were better than the hour+ before then?

offtopic: I am disappointed with Sony's show so far, but agree its better than MS.

Its definitely not "dirt" cheap, but it is reasonable.
Considering there are actually some games for core gamers, I might consider getting this. But like Kinect, this is not a must have for me. Everything depends on the games for each system.
And right now Move games are better than Kinect games
25$ for a game is definitely unreasonable. You don't have to buy them if you don't want them, but at least Sony isn't charging full game prices.
40$ for a decent game is not bad.
Its no GOTY contender, but it looks like a game that would be fun for the casual and hardcore gamer. Like Harry Potter meets Zelda, but probably not as good.
I don't think so, I only had a small collecting of SNES games, so recently I went back and got the ROMs of games I have never played before (e.g. FF4&6, Earthbound, E.V.O., etc) and really loved them. I think you should definitely give the older games a shot if you have free time on your hands.
I totally agree with you on that, but this article was about selling it to Kinect to me. And these five games didn't sell it.

But overall, I expect that Kinect to sell at LEAST moderately well. But that will be at the expense of MS being able to go toe to toe with Sony for hardcore gamers. Especially now that Nintendo seems to want to fight for the hardcore/old gamers.

If these five games get you to buy the Kinect, good for you and enjoy it.
But if the article is trying to sell it to me personally, well it failed. Why are you getting upset that I would not have fun with these games?
I understand that some people may enjoy the Kinect more than others. But to ignore the lack of a future for hardcore gaming on the 360 is ridiculous. I agree HR, Gears, and Fable all look good/going to be great games. But what about next year? This could be the last big Halo and Gears game. Only 1 new IP?
And you give them an A? Enjoy your casual games, as that is all you are getting from now on.
I think it was the best motion control game shown off at e3. Mostly due to the fact that it wasn't made solely to win over the casual audience. I could enjoy that game too.
