There are 7.1 billion people on the Earth. About half of those are online.
With over 3 billion people online, you're going to get a few angry jerks - welcome to life. They stand out more than the normal people who don't go on rants for obvious reasons.
I don't understand why we all obsessively focus on small minorities of people, and act like they represent more than just themselves. Unless this article can prove that a statistically significa...
You know, you can disapprove of something without going full-on fascist, right?
I agree. They really need to be banned from N4G for being too political.
This article isn't talking about escapism for women, but escapism for extremist feminists. Most women are not extremist feminists!
And if feminists are willing to PAY more for games, then they will have games made especially for them. Simple.
@KillZallthebeast
That's true. It's like how anyone whose sexuality you don't know might be gay, so there's no need to constantly bring it up. Not all games need gay characters.
However, sometimes it is useful for the story/world, or involves a major character who usually has a complete lore (especially in RPGs).
Needless to say, I don't think most of us have a problem with it unless it seems rammed in for the sake o...
It's not a problem having one in a game necessarily, even as part of the story, but when they're presented to "educate" the audience it just makes you cringe.
As long as they don't seem shoehorned in, and have some depth, I don't see it as a problem. Neither good nor bad, really. But Bioware being Bioware...
I'm not an SJW, but it's a fair point. Basically, the gay sex scenes are apparently fade-to-black, which does seem bizarre given the straight scenes are not. Also, there are only two gay options and an achievement requires three.
I'll never be playing the gay route in Andromeda, but it doesn't seem like too much work to actually animate those scenes for those who want them, and throw in a gay character for a minor romance path so the achievement can be hit. ...
Fake news. Resident Evil 7 has around 370,000 Steam owners according to Steamspy. And these are all sales.
Also, comparing it with GTAV and Diablo 3 is stupid, because GTAV has seen major sales, while Resi7 has not yet. Furthermore, GTA is a much bigger franchise, and Diablo 3 is a PC exclusive title which has been out for years.
Misleading article which is either not well researched, or intentionally lying in order to push a biased point.
Now can they do this with that Shrek Asari as well?
Yes, but why don't they allow AO games?
They're perfectly legal. Adults use their console. I see no problem. "Because we've always done it" is no excuse.
Censorship is cancer.
Nothing inherently sexual.
Sexualisation of nudity is socially constructed (I'm not an SJW, but it's true - you get Amazon tribes which walk around naked and they don't all get constant hardons).
Which means that for some people nudity isn't sexual, and these people suffer because those who do find it sexual (and I guess intimidating or something? I don't understand prudes very well, so you'll have to forgive me) enforce their view...
Why are you so desperate not to see animated dongs? I mean, they don't bother me when I'm playing.
Do they trigger you or something?
It's not about satisfaction with kills. It's just funny.
And yes, repressed people will jerk off to that, but then there are people who jerk off to some weird shit.
Your implication is that the nudity is for jacking off to (hence why you mention porn as an alternative). I am saying that it is not for jacking off to - it just gives players more freedom, and adds a humorous element to the game.
If you acknowledge that nudity can b...
No penis, no purchase.
Nudity is not porn. Is this so difficult to understand? There's nothing sexual about naked people.
The appeal is enhanced teabagging, and the extra realism.
A shame they have no mod support. If they did, these ugly faces could be made to look much better. The actress behind the asari is so much more attractive than her character.
I don't think there's any obligation to hook up with anyone. You can just choose not to.
"Gamers"? Really? All gamers? A majority? Or do you mean "some" gamers? Perhaps not very many at all.
Misleading, like this article.
