It was what I expected.
It's not necessary in all games. Of course not.
But it can really enhance an epic RPG if done right.
Very sophisticated comment.
If you read older books, you'll see that romance has been omnipresent in fiction since ancient times.
What's wrong with romance in games if it is portrayed in an epic manner, so as to enhance the story?
Not all romances have to be as cheesy and awful as Bioware's. They can be more like Tristan and Iseult, if only writers tried, and ignored the entitled moans of the SJWs.
We'll never have good romance options, because at present you seem to need two homosexual options for every straight.
Devs don't have the time for that.
SJW Wars doesn't need a MAN to watch it.
It can get by just fine on its own thank you!
Link became transgender.
I found Life is Strange to have annoying characters, a boring storyline and be tedious to work through.
Can't imagine why anyone picked that game instead of Witcher 3.
I thought Life is Strange was boring, to be honest, and I've been playing adventure games since the nineties. The characters also aren't very likeable.
Tales from the Borderlands is very funny though.
Why does there always have to be an explanation for feminists?
Do companies not realise that more people will support them and buy their game if they just disregard feminists entirely and purposefully offend them?
See, feminists don't have any money because they spend all their time whining on the internet rather than working. They spend all their time blaming other people for their failures rather than taking responsibility and improving themselves.
What's wrong with people? Why does "child abuse" come to mind when it just so happens that you can beat up kids in the game? Does "murder" come to mind when it just so happens that you can kill innocent people?
I think it's about time our stupid race went extinct. Civilization is finished when morons like this author are allowed to air their silly opinions.
Why is Square listening to SJWs?
She's the reason I'm not buying Syndicate.
I'm sick of hearing all the childish "yeah, women are awesome, look at Evie kick ass" comments. These people ruined female characters for me with their immature and patronising approach to issues they're not smart enough to understand.
Yes. I think that artistic integrity is more important than anything else in the games industry. Ideas need to come from the most creative games designers, and not from the PR department.
If feminists ask for X and get X, then it sets a precedent that they have the right to dictate what is produced. The only way to stop this is to directly counter it by doing exactly the opposite as a consumer.
For me though, it's not even conscious. I feel somewhat sick ...
I don't like playing as female characters any more. I used to find it OK, but feminism ruined it for me.
Exactly. We need more diversity...
...diversity such as more games which mock and offend obnoxious SJWs.
Too much angst for my liking.
Yes, but we need Bethesda to do more settings and four years is a long time. I'd like to think that I could play more than around 15 more Bethesda games before I die, but this will be the case with their current release schedule, and that assumes I live till 82.
If they're going to make a new game every four years, they can at least make it stand out from the last.
That's true, but one can't help but wonder if it's holding them back from doing other stuff. TES provides a rich fantasy setting, with epic vistas, while Fallout takes place in a law dump, with barely any civilisation to be found.
Bethesda have not done a space setting, while there are a variety of others they could pull off. Perhaps it's time they shifted to somewhere that would make us excited again?
That said, Fallout is a great universe. I...
Not personally interested in female protagonists, buts I suppose this is good for those who are.
