MS is about to give Arcade 360's away Free, but will no longer offer any warranty. This way they figure to make money on each console through repair costs the owners have to pay for each time it breaks down. :)

The shape and size are better on the slim, but I prefer the gloss black and the touch sensitive buttons of the original.
Oh the PS3 logo is cooler on the slim too.
I actually like the looks of this model better than the old version but my PS3 hasn't given me any troubles over these past 2 years so even though I would love a slim it would be stupid for me to buy another PS3 just for looks and a decrease in fan noise.
Granted this is developed by Raven, but it's still got the Id name on the box so you would think Id would show some pride. I seriously doubt Rage or any Id game in the future really performs well on PS3 because they are PC devs and obviously don't have the chops for cell programming the engine.

I have no idea about hardware prices because I'm not in the market for one. But I know the prices on the discs are much lower with all the sales going on. You can get good movies for 9.99 or 12.99 at Best Buy and Amazon is still selling deals

360 sales have increased since last year, but that's because for a big portion of the year last year they were actually losing to the PS3 on the monthly basis until the 360 dropped price. I can see where they are proud of the fact that they are doing better, but it is sort of misleading because of the conditions surrounding the increase. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that a price tag of 100 bucks less will help sales, especially when you have a 199 model. And showing yea...
I bet downloads would sell more if there was an extras package you could buy at a store for the same ammount.
