Now Activision wants to have the PS3's baby
I still haven't seen a single PS3 slim commercial on TV in America, but supposedly they are coming. If it's true I'm sure it will help boost those NA numbers, while the other territories might drop. This past week all the big store sale flyers were only showing the 360 price drop without any indication of the slim so commercials will help.
I wonder how long they stay like that. I don't think they can sustain that kind of weekly margin, but if they do, by November I'm sure Microsoft would sh.t power bricks.
If the slim continued at this rate by Christmas you would see Elite bundles, that's right - bundles for 199.
Sony isn't going to make any more of those so this is not real.
But if Sony sold a PS3 slim bundle with GT5 bluray and GT5 prologue pre-loaded on the system I bet they sell
I do think breaking the contracts sends the wrong message however. Once a contract or deal is made it should be followed. Having the other side throw money to break the other guys deal makes the developer look bad because it's like make up your mind, if it wasn't good then why did you do it in the first place. But this generation I've noticed how Square-Enix has put all it's resources into Microsoft and only until recently, and after it released on 360 did they release a single game on PS3 with that Crystal download game.
I think it's funny how some people think SE ever led on PS3 for anything.

Sony moved most of its titles to 2010 because they wanted the benefit of the added customer base the slim is going to provide, and it looks like they will be releasing a first party game once or twice a month from January on. The Donkey Kong game on the blu-ray is bananas
At the same price I don't see it comparable. One has wi-fi, blu-ray, free online, and rechargable battery controllers.

Some multiplayer only games are 60 bucks. Would it have been nice if MS released this as a download expansion for 20 or 30? Sure. But they know people are going to line up and buy it. I know this sounds crazy, but I'm sure they could have charged 75 for it because it's Halo and the Halo crowd would still buy it. So in a way everybody is lucky it's only 60.
