Absolutely gaming on linux is really good these days. One of the majority hurdles though is getting the anti cheat programs to work with Linux. Like look at battlefield 1 recently. It's a 8 year old game. Ran great on the steam deck. Then EA added a new anti cheat to it and now it's no longer compatible with the deck.
I can see this taking off this time of it's true. Cheap console style Steam box that (maybe) can be upgraded.
Oh cool
With the success of steam deck. I'm hoping this is basically another crack at Steam Machines. PC's solely for gaming or mostly.
Also, Hopefully they officially release steam OS for anyone to use. I know we can technically download it now. But it's not really official. You are essentially downloading and installing the deck os.
Wow that's kind of surprising. I was under the assumption it was doing fine. I enjoyed what I played of it. But like a lot of free to play and live service games. After a few weeks or months you kind of get burnt out of them. Recently happend with Helldivers 2 for me stepped away from it for a while. Black ops 6 I'm already bored of it. Xcom was fun but got bored after a few weeks.
Thank you.
Have i understood this right. This is a free to play game releasing in a few days. But you have to pay to gain access and the free to play part comes in sometime next year?
Weak month imo. It takes two is cool but it's really old now.
That what the fairly big discounts on the slims.
They told us about this a few weeks ago. My first GT or something like that.
It's part of the playstation 30th anniversary celebrations.
Found guilty of assaulting a woman in a hotel.
Oh wow that's great. Spite the whole review bombing and PSN account fiasco on pc. That's great numbers.
Just because I say its great numbers does not mean I agree with what Sony did with the psn account implementation.
@Chocoburger the thing is. So is it just going to be a PC? The games that play on it, Are they PC games or console games? I can't see it being both. If it's a console then I don't see how they can install pc games on it.
If it's a pc then surely the games are just going to be pc games from steam, gog, epic, Xbox app. Then Microsoft won't dare charge for online MP since the games are pc games. If it's just going to be a pc turn why would won't ca...
The Xbox pc or another series S type of console so people can carry over there past purchases.
Completely agree especially remaking older IP's. They have so many to revisit. I would love a new or remake of the getaway.
I don't like this whole gass rubbish. However they have a IP that is perfect for GASS and if done right could probably be even more popular than cod warzone and Fortnite and that's Socom. You could have your classic Socom modes and gameplay but to widen the reach have a looter mode like escape tarkov and a battle royale mode.
Oh wow didn't realise it was that deep. I don't know a thing about anime so by your comment it looks like it's would be a massive issue.
I'm not a fan of these massive take overs.
Just depends what it is though. If it's just going to be another windows handheld computer. Or dedicated Xbox hardware like the switch like the vita with its own operating system.
However If they go the route of pc with Xbox slapped on then that's fine as 360 emulation is pretty good. I'm sure Microsoft can tidy it up.
Don't know what to think about this. I called Microsoft out for buying whole publishers. If they keep the Dark Souls series multiplatform then fair enough.
Would be nice to have a demons souls 2 since the remake was a success. Plus a remaster and a Bloodborne 2.
The surface team are decent. If I'm going to guess. It's just going to be another windows handheld just like Rog Ally. The Xbox Surface or something like that. Can install steam games. Access your past purchases via the Xbox app. Would be cool if they they can officially support Xbox 360 emulation.
I agree with the last part. I was reading on eurogamer that apparently Kadokawa employees are really hoping for a Sony take over earlier today.
