Wow! What a score!
I think fighting games and adventure games or rpgs can be done with kinect. It is really up to the developer to think of new ways to design the games.
@ Immortal
Yes my friends enjoy gaming generally, whether RPGs, shooters, sports, hack and slash, arcadey stuff, whatever, and they're telling me that Kinect is a whole new gaming experience in a positive way. I enjoy a good session of Mass Effect as much as I enjoy Wii Sports, so I think Kinect should work for me.
@BTF - Hahaha! Nice one!
Didn't like the previous MK, and I don't think Kratos is going to change my perception of this game.
My friends are saying the same promising things about Kinect. I may just have to get one for myself when the standalones are available again.
Having said that LBP1 was great, chances are LBP2 should be better if they stick to the same template and offer even more options.
He stated very clearly that he found it too linear. Does he need to write a thesis before it is fair comment?
Curiously, the author doesn't describe what the genre includes. As far as I am concerned, there's Lara Croft and there's Uncharted, not many other game I can think of that falls under this genre.
People are entitled to make fair comments, and fair comments are not always positive.
I think the way to look at this is that Xbox has caught up considerably with Playstation this gen (something few people thought was possible), and it will be interesting to see what happens next gen.
Michael Jordan should be put in charge of the NBA2K franchise then.
This comes as no surprise. MS had over the past years made the choice to let go of their studios, so naturally there are fewer exclusives now. Obviously, MS thinks that they have lured enough franchises that matter to go multiplat. And also quite obviously, MS's strategy now is to entice developers into making exclusive games for Kinect. Whether their business strategy works out for them remains to be seen.
But personally, I think exclusives are overrated because so...
Not necessarily. Playing shooting games with Wiimote was not exactly as precise as using a mouse. Time will tell.
Cute... if nothing else!
You are right, the standalones are just about sold out all over last I looked, which really sucks 'cos I don't wanna have to get a bundle.
I was skeptical about Kinect, but the stores are selling them like hotcakes, apparently both to hardcore gamers and casuals alike. Even the salesperson who is a hardcore PS3 fan is singing praises about Kinect over Move.
No. Troll.
I think the integrity of the moderators here is seriously in question when LaurenKB and Shaka are not regarded as trolling but crusadernm who is simply stating a fact is regarded as trolling.
Why do you make such a comment? Weren't you there when the PS3 first came out and the games didn't roll out straight away?
