Actually, I can think of a 360 exclusive character that may fit the MK Universe - that long forgotten protagonist from Too Human...? Hahahaha!
But anyway, that MK/ DC crossover was silly enough, we don't need more of these contrived scenarios.
Thanks for the heads up on checking comment history Parapraxis... you really shot yourself in the foot!
Don't think this game will be a showcase of graphics, but it will be helluva enjoyable game!
Well insofar as LBP is a platformer, it will inevitably be compared to Mario, which defined the genre. Of course LBP has pushed some of the boundaries and is an amazing game, but as a pure platformer, I think Mario will still be remembered as the flagship game.
I think the writer basically picked the games that he is most excited about, which would also be the games that have the most potential to disappoint if they don't meet his expectations.
No reason to be one!
Reality check. Japanese games have generally lost the edge this gen. Look at FFXIII, WKC (in fact just about all JRPGs), Resident Evil 4, DMC4, GT5 - they've not fared better than their Western counterparts. The really great games that have defined this gen have been Uncharted, Gears, KZ, God of War, RDR, ME etc. Even MGS4 didn't quite do it for me on a personal level. Actually, Hideo Kojima himself has admitted that Japanese developers have to pull their socks up to compete.
Indeed Kinect's success is a surprise to all. I'd go further to say Kinect's success is a load of butthurt for a small but vociferous minority too! Ha!
It was a lot more hardcore in the past.
Call a spade a spade - your post was an uncalled for attack on MS, despite your attempts to create a diversion.
You DID imply it is a remake (look at your original post carefully).
Your history of comments shows that you are clearly and deeply prejudiced against Microsoft for whatever reason.
And that is what you are - prejudiced. Which people reading your comments know quite well. But you don't seem to know that of yourself.
TDU is pretty much unique within the driving games genre. Of course there was room for improvement with the 1st one, but the 1st one was still a lot of fun. I expect the 2nd one to offer much more, and that can only be good news for gamers.
I can't see how LBP2 can fare worse than the predecessor. For a game of this genre, take the same winning formula, add more options (and there is so much room for more good things to be added to the game), and it is bound to be a better game.
@ Psycho
Would you say the same about the majority of the people commenting on this article who are trying to "write it here" that GT5 is better when the general verdict is that it is not?
Seems like Kinect is full of possibilities!
You need help.
Dead Space along with Bioshock and Dead Rising are some of the best new franchises this gen, really looking forward to DS2!
The comments are generally extremely fanboyish and/ or immature. Speaks volumes that the 360 crowd isn't commenting much, no?
Are there really so many people like you in this world? I'm just hoping you are one of many multiple accounts then there's hope for the gaming community yet.
I don't think PS3 is necessarily more powerful than the 360 when it comes to graphics. Sony exclusives looking great is largely because of the first party developers. You have to consider too that there are many multi platform games out there that look great too, whether on 360 or PS3, and multiplatform games have tended to look better on 360 whether ported to PS3 or ported to 360.
I don't like level scaling. If I worked long and hard to get to a high level, I want to dominate most monsters, 'cos that makes me feel that I'm a high level. I want to have the luxury of going back to a low level location and just beat the crap out of whatever gets in my way, the more the merrier.
