Looks like we finally have a serious contender for best driving/ racing simulator - good job EA!
Lol! Fans, true fans, of what...?
There is actually a video of 4 players playing a multiplayer co-op campaign in Gears 3, and if you have ever played Gears of War 1 or 2 even, you'll be able to see straight away that Gears 3 is quite a leap in graphics (and some pretty cool new gameplay elements too).
@ Gamer_Z - you mentioned KZ3 and BF and conspiciously left out Crysis 2... whose love is blind I wonder?
Anyone who has downloaded the preview of the multiplayer of Gears 3 will see immediately the vast improvement in graphics.
I think what he means is great games, and I think he is right - that list does look great.
Yeah we've heard that from the desperate fanboys ad nauseum.
There was no desperate attempt to declare anything. When the review embargo was lifted, the journalists all praised the game for the graphics. Seems more like a desperate attempt by some to deny facts. It is always the same story. When a multiplatform threatens to do well, the girls cry foul.
Look at this river of comments... it is the river called De Nial.
Because Halo's strength has always been in gameplay?
@ nalyd
There's great irony in what you say 'cos the general consensus is that Crysis 2 just upped the ante on console graphics, but you're outright rejecting that. Contrary to your allegations, up till this point, there had never been any credible source that had claimed any other game on the 360 looked better than UC of KZ, although there had been people saying that developers just didn't push the 360 as hard as Sony developers. Crysis 2 pushed both cons...
Well if it is not sex then it is violence... all perfectly acceptable!
For someone who owns a high end PC, this squabbling over which console has the better version must be hilariously pathetic... Very frankly, whatever graphical differences there may be between console versions are likely to be very marginal based on the numerous articles and reviews thus far. I'm going for the 360 version not because of any alleged graphical edge, but because (a) Xbox Live and (b) I much prefer the Xbox controller for shooters.
And you're in denial.
Actually, this issue of which console version is better does matter a lot, particularly to the fanboys. Crysis 2 has just about taken the crown for best graphics on consoles, and if it is indeed equal or even superior on 360, then it flushes down the toilet bowl all those fanboy claims that PS3 has better graphical capability. Looking forward to what BF3 and Gears of War 3 will do to change the fanboy wars. Exciting times!
Edit: I'm simply making a logical observatio...
Proven by you I'm sure, hahahah!
Have to wonder though why there is a need for install even when there is the supposed advantage of blu-ray storage?
Always knew that Sony devs have been pushing the PS3 much harder on the graphics department than 360 devs. Now comes a multiplatform dev to take the graphics crown and show that both systems can be pushed just as hard with equal results.
I think this really makes a statement about whether blu-ray is really necessary for gaming this gen.
It is inevitable that there has been a slew of workout games for Kinect and there will be more to come, and workout games are good for variety for different types of gamers out there, but I'm really hoping for a Kinect-based adventure game to be released. I see so much potential for an interactive/ exploration/ adventure/ storytelling type of game for Kinect - shades of Milo-tech-demo, Heavy Rain and those old Sierra adventure games.
"...steal the crown from GT5...?" Um... can't steal what's not there!
