I don't think it is next gen in the sense that it is cutting edge technology. However it is a substantial bit of innovation in how we play games using technology that has already been tried and tested. That is Nintendo's ethos with their consoles, and to demand that they compete with MS and Sony on the high end tech arena is just missing the point.
This is great for people with kinect as one of the things I dislike about ME is how you have to pause the game to issue commands to your teammates, but with voice commands I think combat will flow without interruption.

Do you think Heavy Rain is a hardcore game? I don't see how any of the control schemes done on Heavy Rain cannot be done better with Kinect.

Nah I don't think so, I don't regard GT5 as arcade so even less reason for Forza. But you wouldn't know simulated driving from arcade driving since you're not old enough to hold a driving licence.
Yep, there are days you want Forza type simulation and there are days you want something that is totally arcade with little damage, and there are days you want something in between. Seems like Shift 2 may well be in between. Something worth checking out for sure.
Haha Psycho, you are right of course, only those few "essential" features found in GT5 ever really matter... So do just stick to your GT5, while us "ignorant people" enjoy other unimportant features that GT5 doesn't have!
