Of course Angry Birds > Demons Soul, if you would bother to take a step back and consider the average appeal each game has on gamers generally.
Is it really because PS3 has more exclusives? Gears 1 and Halo 3 came out at a time when 360 had tons of exclusives. Uncharted 1 was released at a time when Sony's exclusives were not that many. So that can't be the reason. The reason is as Sub4dis has explained - great multiplayer games.
You are absolutely right. GOW is a pure fast and furious adrenaline pumping shooter whereas Uncharted is more of Tomb Raider enhanced that tells a better story. You can hardly compare experiences with both games.
I'm glad u pointed out the 3rd image, 'cos when I saw that, I thought to myself what a mess the PS3 version is in the reflections on the floor. That's hardly higher resolution, that's grainy and poor rendering. U may want to look at the bookshelf too to see some obvious differences. And consistently on every image u will see much better lighting effects on 360. Look at the face comparison too, look at the stubble... Forza 3 is the definitive driving game still, your forced laughter is just a way to mask your tears. Face it, GT5 was a major disappointment, far from the perfection they boasted it would be. It had so many fundamental flaws, only a fanboy would forgive them. But not to worry, Forza 4 looks set to achieve beyond what GT5 aspired to be.
Some people try so hard to hate on a clearly superior game... Wheel support...? I much prefer a functional damage system and customization features in my racing simulation thanks. And yeah we've heard it before, Forza 3 graphics are not much better than Forza 2 (complete lie if you have played both games), and of course Forza 4 graphics are the same as Forza 2/3... I'm just grateful Forza 2 had all cars rendered this gen and 3D environment too.

The thing is I don't see Japanese games as JRPGs as much as I don't see Western games as shooters, so FF's or JRPG's general lack of recent success alone isn't the reason I think Japanese games are falling behind.
Look at Resident Evil, DMC, Ninja Gaiden, GT and all other genres of gaming. How have the Japanese been keeping up with the Western games? Even the alleged superior story telling of JRPGs... Sorry I think I've seen variants of the same old pl...
To suggest that Western games are defined by shooters is myopic and absurd. There are a ton of great sports games, driving games, hack & slash games, action adventure games, RPGs, sandbox games, strategy games etc all made by the West. Japan may yield a few precious gems from time to time, but denying that Japan is miles behind the West in success, creativity, ideas and execution is pure rubbish.
