Unconvincing to say the least... to me, it looks like something I'd play for 2-3 hours with friends, and then starts gathering dust. No games except Zelda (at launch of course, I'm stille curious about Mario Odyssey), high price tag, not-free online services and for what? An obsolete hardware that can be detached from the TV, which is absolutely unnecessary? I just don't get it.
And this makes me sad, I want a new nintendo console, I'm still stuck with the W...
Yeah, and what if Microsoft makes a cloud gaming service for free, where you can play games for free, and gives you money for each game played? That would be awesome!!
But it won't happen. Just like the things you said.
Godmars290: Your last statement is definitely arguable.
Glenn: "Honestly friends, I have so little time for games these days with work and the new bub, I basically just stick to games that I know to be good (for my situation), things like Dark Souls, the latest Total War: Warhammer (which should have been called Total Warhammer.. I mean come on!) and the mighty XCOM 2."
So, a guy who has not much time to spend on games prefer to play games he already played AND, on the same time, games that require a huge amount of tim...
4:30 hours here with no video... and I crushed the car after completeng it. Luckily I saved the game before. Nearly made a disaster.
This is like a "f*ck you" to the game designers.
I was just being ironic since I assume every man who has been in Konami is a demon.
the link just shows some unfunny pics now...
sure that would've been such a shame if that was real.
Oh God, will we ever get rid of them?
I will start buying digital games when they will allow me to sell them.
I think this is the lesson most developers already know, but market strategies push the producers to finance multiplatform games over exclusives because of the higher sale possibilities.
Glad to know in this bunch of modern games there is still some quality over quantity.
This "colossal disappointment" thing is pure nonsense. How can you be SO disappointed from a game that never showed anything but a bunch of cinematic trailers?
I understand a game from team ICO generates a certain amount of hype, and the eternal wait makes it even more heavy, but you can't be disappointed from a game you didn't even know how it was supposed to be.
Anyway I'm getting the game for Christmas (hoping for a chance to grab it at som...
World population has increased of ~20% since 2000, meaning that while PS2 sold 51.2 million consoles, the PS4 could have sold ~40 million consoles in the same time with the same population. Of course this is not a correct number but I think it's a fair one.
So, being 10 mil. under the best selling home console ever after 3 years of lifespawn I think is a really good achievement and it's plausible PS4 can reach 100 millions till the end of its lifecycle.
Damn. I can't tell if this will be a good game, but Kojima just knows how to make some goddamn marketing.
@Deadpooled: Yeah I can agree with you. My statement was intended to be read in the aesthetic way of its meaning, because I find those graphics are, in any case, really cool.
@Armchair: I undestand anti-aliasing can't "solve" the pixelation problem, but I'm sure you'll agree that it may lighten it. Of course if you look at the single textures they'll not be better with anti-aliasing, but smoothing models edges gives a less "pixelated" aspect to pretty much every model.
So saying it "has NOTHING to do with pixelation" is a pretty rushed comment in my opinion.
1. This "magic" you talk about is called "anti-aliasing"
2. PS1 games are awesome looking as they are
Yeah, why not Halo on Wii U and Uncharted on iOS. Come on.
I might be biased but for me, MGS4 should be 1st hands down.
Wow, sounds incredible! A cel shaded game in full HD on 60 fps... I've never seen something like this!!!
Oh wait, we're not in 2013 anymore.
