OMG It's one of the worst articles I've ever read. No joke.
Makes no sense whatsoever, and gets so many things wrong. Total disinformation.
One must play the whole game before even starting to talk about it with a judging tone.
I love sites that do not use a numeric score. It encourages readers to be interested in the full written review, and it's a good thing.
@n1kki6
Don't even try man. People can't accept a different opinion nowadays, even if it's just slightly different than theirs.
Just to clear that out, I do not agree with the 10s of God of War but I don't with the 10s of Zelda BOTW and Mario Odyssey neither. The only games of this generation that really deserve a perfect score (IN MY OPINION for god' s sake) are Monster Hunter World, Bloodborne and Persona 5.
Narratively and graphically the game is naughty-dog level, if not better.
I can agree with you on the scores though.
But 7.5 is a joke.
Oookay.
Keep walking.
Nothing to see here.
Movin on.
@mikeslemonade As I said, their scores are not coherent. Maybe because of different reviewers, I can't tell.
Anyway I wouldn't call Portal 2 a trend follower, that game was incredibly imaginative. But yeah, their scores are not representative of the quality of the game.
8 is actually fine, the game is great and I'd give it a 9 after 10 hours of gameplay, but I can understand the point of view. As Kotaku wrote, "the game is a trend-follower more than a trend-setter", so if EDGE looks for innovative and influential games (as they do, since they love from software games for instance) 8 is an appropriate score.
Now I can't deny some of EDGE's score are completely nonsense. 9 to Arms, or 10 to Rock Band 3 are absolutely po...
I can't wait anymore!!!!
Does metacritic matter THAT much?
I mean, the score is not going down of any significant amount anymore, what difference could 1/100 do?
The game is sure gonna be incredible, don't worry about stupid scores. Just play it when it comes out, and have fun.
That trailer was shocking when it came out, but now every good looking FPS looks better than that.
Wolfenstein 2, CoD Infinite Warfare or even Killzone Shadow Fall look totally better.
The scripted animations can trick the eye, but that result is obviously impossible to be achieved on gameplay.
I'm glad I pre-ordered it.
All Playstation eras were awesome for my experience, but I can agree PS4 may be the best.
I've never seen so many exclusive games of such quality in a row.
Judging by the demo I can understand this argument, it's way too easy and unappealing to older audience.
But to me this is not the main problem. The main problem is that it's gonna be sold for 60$. That's a ridiculously high price for a simple child game, which is also almost identical to Kirby Super Star anyway.
LOL
That game sucked me in for years. All of it was top notch: graphics, gameplay, music... a remaster would make me feel young again.
@j15reed what kind of logic is that?
This is not the original God of War, it's not even a sequel. It's more like a reboot.
The gameplay should be totally different from previous installments, it's not "hack and slash" in the original terms, I think we've all seen enough of those.
So I can't see how the missing jump button can be an issue since we don't even know how the gameplay works.
Is that the first score for Dissidia? Looks good.
Too bad I just spent all my money for Dragon Ball and Monster Hunter.
It feels insane that such a good looking game has the size of an old PS2 game.
Arc System really achieved something great.
Bloodborne in boost mode performs quite better though.
