I played it a bit on PS5 Pro before this patch, I can tell the improvement is definitely noticeable. The most impressive one is visual quality given by PSSR2, it's crystal clean now and RT gives it more depth, so yeah, a great step forward.
I don't think extraction shooters or in general live service multiplayer games can get much better than this. Of course it needs fixes and support, but as a foundation I think it is as solid as it can get.
I don't get the hate regarding this game. I'm not even a multiplayer guy but I think it's a masterpiece, it's incredibly polished and fun.
They already are. Indie studios are the only developers that constantly strive to publish innovative and experimental experiences. There has been little to no art in AAA gaming, with just a few exceptions.
Tom Chick being Tom Chick as usual.
Ok, this is it. I'm f***ing done with Sony. They literally didn't make a good choice in 5 years.
What studio are they closing next? Naughty Dog? I wouldn't be surprised.
Would make sense and would be awesome if true, I also hope they will seize the opportunity to patch the PS5 Pro version now.
The first review got leaked and it's a 9.5 from dualshockers. It's looking really promising.
I know right?
Why do developers think to know what players want? What about asking, you know, actual players?
Playstation and Nintendo are not competitors. Totally different targets.
Each company just wants to make the most profit, and Nintendo is such a strong brand that can afford to sell games at full prices withouth sales.
Weaker brands need to go on sale in order to continue selling some units.
That's just how it goes.
"Old Scraps"? That's literally one of the best games on Xbox, even today.
Plus, Sony didn't ask for it. Microsoft begged Sony to publish their games, so...
Fair enough, the PS5 Pro is a niche premium product. Not everyone is going to see a substantial difference.
For me, on my Samsung 4K 55'' OLED, the PS5 Pro feels much better than the base PS5 I had before, at least on some games like FF7 Rebirth or Resident Evil 4. The only problem I have with it is the European price: 800€ + 120€ for the disc drive + 30€ for the stand. That's quite an investment.
I'm glad I preordered it. 4 days to go!
Looks like Bloober Team made it, eventually.
700$ is a little too much since it doesn't have a disc drive.
800€ here in Italy is... unacceptable.
1. That's not true, multiplatform games have reviews on both consoles even when they launch simultaneously. The platform of choice depends from the reviewer.
2. When a game is ported to another platform afterwards, it could perform differently or contain different content, so it makes sense to review it a second time.
3. Playstation is the more popular console, so game journalists are interested in writing reviews for more clicks.
You're talking about Silent Hill: The Short Message, which is a different title.
This is the remake of Silent Hill 2, it will be sold at full price.
@Tedakin
That shouldn't be the norm.
Games should release in a finished state, how someone can accept that a game comes out buggy and barely playable is beyond me.
Call me a fool, but I like those scores. I can understand why someone would rate CD an 8 or higher, but I also understand why someone would rate it a 5.
Marathon is goated so well deserved.
