I can't believe someone is still thinking Sony, Nintendo and everyone else are paying reviewers to give high scores.
The game got leaked 2 MONTHS before the release, there is no control over leaks. You seriously think we wouldn't know if Sony is paying 100+ critics? Get real.
This is actually a valid argument. You can say you didn't like the story, that's a matter of tastes and visions, but it's impossibile to ignore how creative the narrative in this game is.
Everyone can say what they want, but those cons just don't make much sense to me.
Violence doesn't go too far at all. And I find it very hard to dislike the combat.
Of course, because if you don't join the hate bandwagon you can't play with your little friends anymore.
Anyway I'm a fan of the first one and I absolutely loved the second one. Hard to tell which one is better for me.
Because the reason behind people hating Abby is not because she's boring, but because of who she killed. Let's be honest here.
Calling her boring is a mere justification for the irrational hate.

Of course not as characterized as Ellie for obvious reasons (she was there for half a game, not one and a half), but I think she's pretty interesting and can make a worthy sequel, if well managed.
BTW, just stop with this hating Abby bs, it's not even cool anymore. A couple of months and all this controversies will just vanish, a lot of people will change their minds after...

I finished the game yesterday and I was mind blown.
Not easy to say, but this is my new favourite game of this generation. Previous one was Persona 5.
An "enjoyable message"? So a message has to be enjoyable, and if it's not, it's not a good message?
Come on. Not everyone has to like its themes and story, but the amount of hate this game is receiving has been ridiculously gigantified.
Metacritic press score is useless, let alone the user score...
I like to play on normal on the first playthrough to enjoy the story. Then I start harder runs.

That's very subjective.
Of course the game loses momentum after a while, but it's still my favourite Switch game at the moment.
Ironically, I think Mario Odyssey and Zelda are way less rewarding than Animal Crossing. In Animal Crossing the progression is slow, but at least you know what you're doing and that someday you'll be rewarded.
I'll get it as soon as Horizon gets released or as soon as the Black edition gets released

When a game gets praised this much it's easy to get your expectations too high and be disappointed in the end.
Assuming good critics can be wrong is a good way to enjoy an experience without influences.
