1. It was a movie critic, not a videogame
2. It was not a paid reviewer, but a phantom reviewer.
It's a totally different story. A fake critic is a way, way easier method to get high scores, but that's very unlikely to happen in these metacritic days.
There is no reason for publishers to pay reviewers because they just don't care that much. Everyone who worked for the critic can tell you that.
Sales are not that affected by critics, on...
Interesting how every comment about this game is positive now. I remember it being very harshly criticized back in the release date, pointing out it was buggy, messy, uninspired and bland.
I guess if the same treatment will go for that "other zombie game".
@Final_Aeon:: you're right. Thing is, politics in games are going to be less and less inevitabile as time goes by.
I can't deny it's an interesting topic, but the thing that does make me mad is the fact that everyone is using little "lame" details to fuel the game's hate flame. So, I can't do anything but think that a lot of people that hate the game probably just found every little unobserved detail to justify their hate, because they HAD to hate the ga...
@final_Aeon
You should recognize we're not (or at least, I'm not, can't tell for the others) triggered by who doesn't like the game, but by people with obvious flaming intentions.
If I sound triggered it's because I am. But not because not everyone likes the game.
How is it hypocrisy? I'm perfectly fine wirh every legit opinion.
The only one that I can't accept are the one thaf don't show arguments at all.
If you're genuinely not having fun with the game it's not my business.
If they come, they're going to yell at themselves. I call myself out, I'm done with this.
The worst thing about The Last of Us is that it made me realize that the gaming community is still a bunch of crybabies that just can't accept different opinions, and instead of discussing they yell at each other pretending to be right.
I'm ashamed to be a gamer right now.
At least the game was good for me.
All you can say is to put that Druckmann guy in the discussion without explainng what you're saying. Typical rage trolling here, movin out.
You didn't say something shocking. You said something stupid.
And that doesn't make me want to talk. Just to point out it was stupid.
What a nonsensical consideration.
I'm completely disappointed with the game because we don't get to play as the giraffe.
Game should've had more Knack.
(I love dunkey because he's one of the very few youtubers that always says what he thinks without listening to other people's bullshit)
Only those who played the game and actually pull out some arguments can talk, yes.
If you didn't play the game or you just want to trash talk, yes, you don't have the right to talk all that bs.
I can get this critic. I completely disagree, but that's a fair argument, and a 7/10 is not a bad score by any means.
The pacing is intentionally interrupted and oscillating, but if someone doesn't like it that's fine.
There are some valid instances and I believe that some people genuinely have problems with the story.
The problem is, the vast majority of this hate is mindless and not justified. And this is driving me very mad, because this game doesn't deserve this treatment.
Hatred acts can be irrational and contagious.
Naughty Dog showed that in the game.
And also out of the game.
How ironic, the haters are demonstrating the game they hate has a huge meaning.
If you watch an hour of gameplay instead of reading reviews:
- You don't how the experience feels as a whole
- You may no get how it is to play the game instead of watching it (and most times, it's very different)
- You don't have another person's point of view, which is the reason there are so many critics out there
LOL you people should not be so blindly enraged for a videogame.
I was clearly mocking the haters, it was obvious even without the /S
Really credible account, no trolling detected at all.
Sony's strategy is nearly flawless, but thank god we have shepherdzeMan, among the world's best detectives, that uncovered this filthy secret,
@Final_Aeon
I think that is just a perception.
In this game you actually "play" a lot more than the first one, with more combat and new enemies. This is accounted by almost everyone.
So, for me, people that think this game is boring is because of the combat itself.
But as I already said in another article, I think this is a misperception given by the surrounding hate.
Not gonna say it is objectively, just what I think....
