Steam is the reason PC gaming is what it is today. It is a fantastic platform overall with a metric ton of really nice features.
That said, I totally get where Epic and Sweeney are coming from, and I respect their aims as well, although the exclusivity deals generally leave a bad taste in the mouth.

Next gen I hope 60fps becomes standard. The difference is huge. No need for more than that for a long time, but atleast that much. Makes any game so much more fun, especially action games.

Squadron 42 roadmap is out. Beta by 2020, but they indicate they WILL delay the release date if features are delayed or it isn't ready.
