Well they've got to make back the loss from all those other mediocre games they're releasing.
In my opinion, focusing everything on TES and Fallout would be a much smarter business strategy, they're really sitting on goldmines there.

The Xbox defense force really has a tough job these days. Sure the Scorpio is a well made machine but that doesn't change the fact that it has one big problem Microsoft couldn't really solve for 5 years now - they simply don't offer enough games to warrant a console purchase - and certainly not at $499. A 500$ GPU shits on the new Xbox and plays the same games as well as countless PC exclusives with NO SUBSCRIPTIONS so why would anyone buy it?

Well to be fair, they've made one of the best games of all time there. I don't have a problem with all those Skyrim releases but I do have a problem with Bethesda's priorities.
In my opionion they should completely focus on perfecting Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
Your simple logic seems to miss that your 250$ console offers the same shitty games as that 500$ beast does. If you knew as much about market research as you claim you would also know that consoles are being sold by software and not teraflops or even price. I can't remember the last time I was laughing at so much damage control like this E3, it's hillarious how hard you guys try to justify this purchase.
Most diehard Xboys will never accept these kind of facts. Of course people try to justify their purchase but since Sony is offering a better alternative for less money it's just mindless to be excited at this point. I was expecting Microsoft to at least announce a handful exclusives this year but so far, there's absolutely nothing that would make me want a Xbox over a PS4.
