Sony seems to be doing just fine with that strategy. Why would I watch E3 if all they show is the yearly third party titles and already known exclusives? Even new indies are more interesting than YET ANOTHER Call of Duty, FIFA, Forza, whatever
worldwide exclusively timed exclusive world premieres
And as he also didn't show anything substantial we could also assume that there will be no major exclusives next year... as they should be "ready" by now?
I can't believe there are still people who don't understand why these upgrades actually exist. It's the rapid 4k adaption that basically called for it and I'm pretty sure we won't see these kind of upgrades next time - also because GPU technology can't progress forever at this speed.
Once again I can't quite agree with this guy:
"He reckons game makers won't have time generally to create two bespoke versions of a game for both machines."
As games are being made on PC it's mostly just adjusting sliders to easily improve your graphics and framerate.
BUT
In another sense I cannot state enough that Xbox One X will be a waste of time if Microsoft doesn't finally come up with amazing exclusives th...
@Neonridr
Well it's not Sony's problem if Microsoft decides to waste 2,5 billion dollar on a completely overhyped IP and now tries to come up with ways to profit from it. Even for the actual players of this mediocre kids game this is not the big loss you guys make it out to be.
I never got the complaint about Sony announcing things too early - I love those announcements the most and think that this is what E3 is actually about (HYPE!!!)
On the other hand every gamer should understand how game development works and that especially with 4k games, things sometimes take more time than expected and get delayed... but that doesn't mean you shouldn't show off what you're working on.
For example if TLOU 2 or the new Sucker Punch IP wo...
If Microsoft wouldn't make you create a damn XBL account to play I would agree that Sony made the wrong decision here... but they want you signed in while playing so I fully support Sony in this case.
Also they stated that it runs on the new Xbox, why is this a separate news? wtf
How's it obvious that Forza will look "better overall"? It might not even look better than GT Sport.
^You simpletons really don't understand, or don't want to understand? You don't even need a 500$ GPU to have the same power as Scorpio, 350$ should be enough. Though my point was, most people using the internet already have some kind of PC at home - and those old PC's with a new GPU should be enough to absolutely outrun the XboX. And the money you save on cheaper game prices and your XBL subscriptions can go into upgrading your possible bottlenecks.
^Well you also can't trademark music yet people sue each other all the time for samples. It's just that many elements including cover mechanics, camera movements and most of the gamplay are straight rip-offs so I wouldn't be surprised if anyone at 2k is thinking about protecting their IP.
As N4G refuses to ban clickbait/fanboy sites we really could use the function to block certain sites from our own feed.
Why am I not so surprised how Moldy is praising Minecraft. You're either 12 years old or really have some issues man.
^I'm always serious.
They pretty much stole the whole gameplay from XCOM to a degree where I wouldn't even be surprised if a lawsuit would be coming.
I agree it's a terrible practice but let's not forget the irony that it was Microsoft who started this shit with CoD mappacks.
@Uken12
You're trying really hard don't you? If you still haven't understood that and most importantly WHY Sony has much more to offer than Nintendo and Microsoft you might want to educate yourself on the matter.
"They didn't want to be the developer that was just Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Fallout for the rest of their development careers."
So instead they do shit like Wolfenstein or Evil Within? Big mistake.
