I have more HD-DVD movies than Blu-Ray. Ironically, I bought more blu-ray movies. To be exact, I have bought 2 blu-ray movies to date, and received 10-15 free HD-DVD when I bought the add-on when it went out of business for a steal. It was like $30 plus 5 movies or something like that.
Have a relatively big collection, but I moved to Netflix streaming and never looked back. Sorry, but the vast majority likely does not care much about blu-ray or disc format anymore!
I don't think it matters who from MS answer your questions, the angry Sony mob will make sure whatever is said, IS NEGATIVE!
There is nothing wrong with Penello's answer and it is as straightforward and honest as can be.
What is the deal people?
@iamnman:
Of course MS isn't going to detail them their latest security enhancements. That is like asking if Sony would release their DRM scheme technology to the public to scrutinize?
Of course not!
In my opinion, that is a stupid question. MS nor Sony will comment much on their new security.
Sony: Nope! We still got unpatched software running months old versions. Nobody would hack us, we are Sony!
The angry mob will attack anyone that does Sony harm, and they will always buy our product!
I think this highlights the massive job MS had in explaining to the masses what they were doing with the original vision of Xbox One.
Just look at Valve, one of the most loved game company in the world is getting essentially lambasted by their user. Why?
Because users had a different expectation than how the feature work in reality!
Remember, user expectation is a dangerous beast!
Gotta cheap that PS4 cheap somehow!
In all seriousness, this has little to do with Sony. When third party manufacturers try to do shady things, it isn't within Sonys control.
The fact that Sony fangirls vote that this can't be true is an insult to the people this is happening too.
This isn't right, and clearly these students are being forced to work as assembly line workers to gain school credit that they pay for to get an educati...
I find that very ironic!
That is because the very idea of "humanity & modern culture" doesn't take into account that humans are greedy by nature!
The officially licensed product will likely be completely wireless with no need to use an adapter or even connect it to the Xbox One controller.
I generally don't buy these, mainly because I wear glasses and it is literally a pain to use these as it pushes against the glasses.
The standard headset included will be fine, because the voice quality is significantly updated, but I will just stick with the ease of using Kinect One! :D
@howk:
Well at Home Depot, it is dat well spent Sony $$$$!
Why complain about one company doing it, while not the other?
Because you perceive one as an attack against you, while the other furthers your agenda!
I have seen fangirls from all walks of life, that includes just about any product you can think of such as iPhones, Android phones, Nintendo, Nike, or whatever, but the most obnoxious ones I have ever met are the Sony/Playstation fangirls.
The next closest thing are Apple fangirls, but at least they talk about how awesome their product is instead of doing what Sony fangirls are doing, constantly telling you your product is sh!t!
It's like sports, you can ...
@parda:
Your console of choice, a PS4, is significantly weaker than a PC as well. Does that diminish the value of the PS4?
I didn't think so!
Only fangirls, think of it as such!
Ms has already said you have to opt-in, but that said, is advertisement bad?
I mean, it is all around you, and most of the time you aren't even aware of it. There is good and bad advertisment, and frankly some of the content discovery stuff MS does has been pretty awesome.
There are a couple of movies I want to watch and a couple games I want to play thanks to advertisement on the dashboard.
The key here is NOT in your face, and relevant....
I would just get it on the platform I prefer. The extra hour of content is nice, but not worth agonizing over the controller I don't like.
The extra remote play is kind of useless unless you have a PS Vita, which I don't.
You forgot Quantum Break, Project Sparc and Overdrive.
For launch though, I'm looking at Ryse, CoD, and maybe Watchdog. Very strongly considering Killer Instinct, and Crimson Dragon.
For PS4, if I keep my pre-order, there is only one game, KillZone.
That is because we are hitting diminishing returns.
Don\t worry about the graphics, and focus on the game play, presentation and artwork. Those are the things that will give you superior experience, not resolution and the latest rendering technique!
@control:
Nope, it is just you being a close MS hater so eveything positve people say about MS appears that way to you.
I frequently misplace my remote, besides, why bother getting up?
Xbox go ESPN!
Clearly you don't know what you are talking about. Win 8 is the most efficient windows ever released!
I just saw an ad for Ender's Game on the Xbox 360 dashboard.
I now want to see the movie, so I'm glad it has content discovery that is relevant.
You know, both MS and Sony advertise their games to you, and since we use the console to watch movies, why not recommend movies too.
Content discovery is awesome, as long as it isn't popping up or making annoying noises like on many websites with completely unrelated ads.
@bawse:
basically the PS4 has turned into a supercharged Xbox 360.
There is very little in the PS4 that screams next generation console. It follows the exact same model it did previously with every generation except for the Wii, it is just the same thing with more processing power i.e. more pixels on screen.
