For the record, "I'm 25 years old" is not a reason to not like Pokemon. The simplistic gameplay and overly grinding competitive play is a reason to not like Pokemon.

This game is clearly a failure. No one plays it anymore. Just that one guy that buys billions of poke balls per day.
If I produce 1000 apples and it cost me 10 cents per apple. I sell the apples at 15 cents per apple, but can only sell 500 apples, cause no one wants the rest. Yes, I'm selling at a profit, but I haven't turned a profit until I've sold around at least ~700 apples.

Why would you have to ditch your existing systems for NX? If NX has the games I want, it will be sitting right next to my PS4 and Xbox one.

I love Smash bros, and for that reason alone, I can't agree.
Kinect and PS move would've taken longer to be a thing. PS move might have been even better (technologically) as it would've probably been made for Vr and not to compete with wiimotes.
It sure has made a difference for other games : SF5, Drive club, Halo: MCC, to name a few off the top of my head.
