Imo, 120fps is pointless and a waste of resources in 98% of the games. I if they have extra budget from the CPU, what about a better AI as a starter?
If you need an article to explain why it is worth it, it probably is not worth it.
Tired of Nintendo keep selling the same game again and again without any additional effort.
Lazy ports and never do any sort of sale, amiibo as a physical form dlc, expensive accessories, 32GB hard drive in consoles in 2020... I can go on... My passion with Nintendo ended with GameCube, they are just a greedy and lazy company now.
Tired of all these articles saying whatever the heck they want and then pretend that is the fact.
What values? I remember how the last few years of their MS consoles always dry out with no compelling exclusive games.
This year, PS4 has Tlou 2, ghost of Tsushima, dreams, ironman VR...etc, that's what I call value, getting quality games throughout the whole generation.
When you ask Xbox fanboys what do xboxes have, they would telli yo...
Three games that defined the generation, not 3 of your favourite games...
The games have to be doing something completely new that pushed the genre or game mechanic forward that changes how other games are designed...
To me, I would say...
- Witcher 3 in terms of open world quests design, how well quests connected to each other, and without any boring fetch quests
- Tlou 2 in terms of story telling in video games, animation and graphic a...
It is challenging, but I think the almost instant load time will lighten that quite a bit.
Mindset of some gamers these days...
A new console comes, it better be cheaper than the competitor so I have bullets for the console war arguments.
It also better be not more expensive than the last console (even though everything else became more expensive over the year), and can you also make sure the hard drive is extremely fast and can store 100 AAA games? While you are there it better runs 4k 60fps with full ray tracing on. Can it also plays every si...
Mad enough to write an article about it.
How to "guess" a new idea though, I am just curious.
I want a powerful new console with no handheld mode. And release a new DS for gaming on the go.
Yay!!! You are right, one original high score game is all you need for a console. /s
Zelda is a port, Mario Kart is a port... and you have a Pikmin 3...
I know there are a few more, but seriously lacking..., the new Mario Kart is a cool concept, but it will get old fast, how many people can constantly reserve enough space at their home for the whole track? And the development time could have been sent to Mario Kart 9
I miss a non gimicky Nintendo console, like N64 or GameCube. I just want a new Mario with ratchet and Clank level of graphic, or Zelda with ghost of Tsushima level of graphic, is that too much to ask? In this rate, that might not happen until next next gen for Nintendo... :(
The answer to no games... give you a weaker console. And everyone is so happy about it, maybe it is just me, I just don't get it at all. If I wanted 4TF, I would have gotten a Xbox one x.
This is assuming all developers produce assets specifically for Xbox Series S though... I have always just see one version of digital games on consoles
I don't mind digital only PS5 if all my PS4 games are digital, I just have way too many PS4 games in physical formats right now. And nothing beat unwrapping a long anticipated game and putting in your favourite console for the first time, something that the newer generation of gamers (who started playing games from downloading apps) wouldn't understand.
Maybe spend half of that effort on creating new games...
So, the best way is to release a new controller but makes it not required, so all players will have inconsistent experiences and also ensure the developers wouldn't fully utilize it?
If PS5 controllers are not required, gameplay can't integrate with the haptics trigger because not everyone would have it, then that would become a gimmick and dies off.
As much as I don't think forcing Kinect to everyone was a good idea , it would have a much bet...
imo, co-op would make the campaign feel weird, while for MP, they can do whatever they want without affecting the campaign, MP is safer.
Why don't we let the developer to decide? Last time I checked, they created a masterpiece without any of our input. If tlou was released without MP, I am sure people would say it is not needed, but people who actually tried it know it is one of the best MP ever made, it was crazy fun.
Phil Spencer probably thinks exactly like you do. No wonder Xbox is a mess now. Keep patting each other's back and ignore criticism, I heard that is the best way to do better.
I am just curious, how many month of subscription will you be paying to play all that 90 games.
