I had not even heard of this till now. Can't tell you how excited I am, this will be the first kickstarter I pledge to. FFT was a masterpiece, if this is 1/2 as good it will be my goty!
I understand the point of pitching a sub $500 pc to people, but honestly its not doing them any favors. Obviously you can say the price is comparative to a console, but in the long run they're not getting a full pc experience. Really ~$800 should be the entry cost for pc rig. That may be too rich for some, but I'd bet in the long run the ones who spent 800 or more, are going to be more satisfied with their purchase than those who scrapped together one similar to this article.

Haven't bought a ps4 yet, and I would agree that the industry seems to be asleep at the wheel right now. Anticipated "next gen" games are being pushed back and a string of ps3/60 ports seem to be inbound. Considering the ending gen was the longest in gaming history developers should be more than ready to astound the masses with their latest offerings, yet sadly that's not happening.
They certainly should still support ps3/60, but games like Dark Souls 2 shou...

A 1300w platium psu on for a system that could run on a 650w.... mind blowing. Can't even take the rest seriously with such an oversight.
Intels been pushing the mobile market thus their integrated gpus and lower power consumption. In that they've succeeded, but obviously for performance desktop users its of little interest. The good is that older systems are still holding up well, though thats not very exciting. It's likely to be this way for at least 1~1.5 years so upgrades now more than ever are really more about personal choice.
It's sad people even still care when they dangle this carrot in front of you. I guarantee this game is going to bomb, and even if I'm somehow wrong and its amazing, it still wouldn't be worth the time and effort spent talking about it. It had its time to shine, that time is long long gone. Until it's released it deserves no hype, and anything but a permanent release date should get him a swift backhand across the face.

How is this not already available?! I would have thought a large back catalog would have been available since day 1. Emulation for games that old is super easy, it wouldn't even be a port.
