...From one of the most half-assed sites on the web.
...In one of the most completely retarded articles you'll ever read. To save people the trouble of giving them hits, here are their picks:
9. The Chimp, from Super Mario Galaxy 2
8. Starkiller, Force Unleashed
7. Adam Jensen, Deus Ex 3
6. Kathryn, Singularity
5, 4. Cole McGrath (and they list BOTH of his appearances, from inFamous 1 and...
Lol. Once you master that shortcut on Rainbow Road (at least in Mario Kart 64), the track becomes a piece of cake - even if it's still way too long. On the Super Nintendo though? God, it was a bitch.
Still, good article idea. I say 'idea' because I haven't really played any of the other tracks (could some one else comment on Nurburing and the GT4 track?), but it's good to see more hardcore focussed articles like this one.
Valve said that the PS3 version of Portal 2 would be "the best console version". Do you see it written any where that the PS3 is the lead platform? He meant "best" because it would have certain features that the 360 version wouldn't have like Steamworks.
As far as I've searched, I haven't seen EA officially announce the PS3 as the lead platform of Dead Space 2 (not 'dead space' as you prefer to call it) so if you have some hard evidence...
Well, whoever wrote this list shouldn't be quitting their day job any time soon.
Agree on Super Mario Galaxy 2, God of War III and Uncharted 2 (though their positions on the list are suspect).
Gears of War 1 isn't exclusive to consoles. Mario Kart Wii shouldn't be there. And Trials HD and Wii Sports Resort? Just no.
And rather than Halo 3, I'd choose the original Halo: CE, but that's not console exclusive. Crackdown? It...
Just what IS up with the Tobey Maguire obsession?
You must have missed some good stuff then. :|
Agreed. Gofanboy's article was poorly researched and written. And hey, no matter how you look at it, a game that's hotly anticipated, that's coming off a series that's sold 50+ million units worldwide, and is considered the most realistic racing simulator of all time can't JUST FAIL BEFORE IT'S EVEN RELEASED (forget failing at all).
@disagrees: So it can? Seriously?
I think this is one of those cases where screenshot comparisons are useless and we'd need video comparisons instead. Because it also depends on animation, frame-rate, resolution, etc.
And quite frankly? The console versions would still look better.
Oh wait. Examiner. Okay, so basicallly...disavow everything they tell you and nod politely while making for the exit to call the men with the whitecoats.
If it's confirmed why is it listed as a rumour?
With a poll?
With the votes currently hovering over "hard to tell"? >:(
Damn, you beat me to it. :D
My god, is it just me or this post's page horribly stretched? o___O
Edit: The column for reporting stories seems to be gone as well. Holy hell, whatever glitch this is, flamebait sites take note! :D
Edit 2: Oh no wait. I found it. But it's tucked away in the uppermost right corner.
"Why Now Gamer is an authority on anything: Nobody Knows"
...would be closer to the real heading of this article.
Oh my god! A girl! And she plays violent video games! And likes them! And she doesn't conform to typical stereotypes about girls! What a surprise!
Seriously, been there, done that. Find some better material, Now Gamer. It's better than more lists but why set yourself so low in the first place?
Edit: It's a blog that continuously cranks out random tripe 24/7, and has the lamest top tens and features, hoping that it's quantity rather than qualit...
"The game received rave reviews including from MaxConsole, but upon reflection, this game doesn’t come close to what GTA offered in any shape or form and a big part of us were wishing we had a brand new GTA to play with rather than this."
This is the problem. People review the game at first, under pressure or the glorious illusion of hype and give it wonderful scores. The publishers are happy and once the game has a good few weeks run, we get these articles talking ...
A good honest interview from the man. Truth be told, if the technology is impressive enough, than cost isn't really a major factor. This is true in the case of Blu-ray and even the adoption of Avatar into several theaters as a primarily 3D movie.
Misleading title, unfulfilling article, arrogant author who no doubt thinks of himself as some sort of "saviour" of games journalism...
Weird way to start my morning, and just another reminder not to check the Bit Bag for news.
@Disagrees: Okay, you're right. I erred. I'm sorry. Let me try again. Ahem...
Just another reminder to NEVER check the Bit Bag for ANYTHING.
Okay, think about this. Alan Wake is a good case. It's been delayed several times. Obviously, the delays are the source for the game not selling well when it finally came out, right?
Well, look at Half Life 2. It came 6 years after the first one. Valve hadn't made any other games in between (the expansion packs Opposing Force and Blue Shift were handled by Gearbox Software). But when it finally did release? Man, oh man. Sales, awards, praises about innovation, key spe...
It's your brain cells dying. That's what the feeling is. Absolute stupidity observed in it's purest, undistilled form does that.
Fun fact! Even if your game hasn't released yet, it can fail!
My god, I just realized that total failures in life like Gofanboy are not even reliable authorities on the SUBJECT of failure. That's...gotta hurt.
So what you're trying to say is the author used an actual scientific and mathematical method to judge each developer's capabilities...and still f**ked up?
Wow, I gotta start working for Now Gamer. Under-achieving must never be as rewarding anywhere else.
"MediEvil, you’ve been dreaming of another game in the beloved franchise forever right."
Not as much as the author must have been dreaming during English language and composition class in high school.
