That's true, but it's also true for all platforms. Exclusive games are on the way out. But exclusivity on PC doesn't count for much. Metro2011...a multiplat game, is the best looking game on PC. Just Cause 2, another very good game graphically, supports CUDA features and 32csaa in game. BFBC2, another game that supports DX11 features and 32csaa in game. I'm dying for Diablo 3 more than starcraft 2. I've been a long time fan of both, but there have been a lot of different RTS games that could be said to have matched starcraft in gameplay, but nothing ever came close to diablo...
I refuse to play D2 now though...seriously their solution for higher res is to run it in windowed mode...that just sucks. It's time for the next gen...

Join PC gaming...for a start the games are at least $10 cheaper per game. You won't be forced to upgrade at the start of a new generation, you can choose to turn the settings down if you wish. They support 360/PS3 controls if you prefer it, you can connect them to your TV via HDMI or DVI-D...

I think all games need a reasonably well thought out story. But I agree that cut scenes need to go. The in game cut scenes in mass effect 2 were 10x better than the pre-rendered ones...partly because the in game graphics are better than the pre-rendered clips...:S, but I hate having to wait for a 10 minute clip with some cheesy narration ala Dragon Age, or the millions of codex entries that you have to wade through to get the backstory. Nah man my variable speed wireless ( 6gig/month ) chomps through games like they were .txt files.
It just makes my day when multiple steam games come out with several hundred mb updates...and I can't play the games for a month because the updates have started :S

last year when bioshock 1 had sold around 3 million, the devs said that over 1 million copies of bioshock were sold on pc @ RETAIL. Given that more than half of all PC sales are digital, and steam does not give out sales figures. I think it's safe to say it was significantly higher than that. BFBC2 sold more on PC than either PS3 or 360, again....only counting retail figures. I wouldn't be suprised if it sold 2x as much @ digital. There is a reason BF3 is rumoured to be a PC exclusive...
