Don't get too excited. Because this game uses deferred rendering the AA blurs the edges to get rid of aliasing...not the usual method which applies AA but makes the image crisper. The I.Q increase is 100% unnoticeable. There was an article comparing AA screen to no AA...I had to laugh when the only screenshot they used was the only 1 scene in the game where I noticed aliasing in game. It's in the level where you escort the trains, there is a telepraph pole or someone a few metres abov...
I finished the sc2 campaign last night, and although the whole campaign was awesome. I don't think it was better than the first game. The level variance was better sure, but the story was pretty tame by comparison to the first.
SC1: We were introduced to the 3 races. Kerrigans betrayed, infested kerrigan born. UED v Confederate war ( and mengsk's rise to power ), tassadar flying the ganrithor into the hive mind...that cinematic was more epic than anything in SC2. Feni...
I finished ME2 in like 3 or 4 days...it took 44hrs...yeah everyone has been there, but that doesn't mean it's healthy or normal. Diablo 2...those were dark days of grinding.
I think sessler is a pretty cool dude. He's not an immature fanboy for 1. So that puts him above 99% of other games journalists. He is eccentric...another bonus.

This article is insane. No 2 PC's are the same. After playing starcraft last night for 4hrs....my GPU had hit 99% load, my cpu had max temps of 55c ( overclocked like crazy too ) and when I play RE5 my cpu goes up to 60c. My GPU went up to 75c...and when playing crysis for a few hours on very high/8aa it goes up to 80max ( but never over ).
So SC2 runs extremely cool on my machine. I'm using a mid tower and one of the "omfg nuclear explosion temps fermi" car...
RE3 is a damn good game though. It's more strategic than any of the other C&C games. It's also the best looking RTS. It's crazy when an RTS game can be credited as having the est looking water effects of any game :\
4am here in aus...second day in a row. Yeah, it's a good game. The protos missions were the sex. I liked the little revelation...

I remembered a code for turok 2 to get the debug menu on n64 so you could get all the cheats....it was like 36 digits long...too bad it's gone like so many other memories now, but I played it about 5 years later and for some reason still remembered it :S
Idiots will buy anything sadly. EB games is the devil. They are charging $89 for starcraft 2... they had it at JB hi for on day 1 for $69 + they had 20% of all games...aka $56
DX versions are fairly irrelevant. Besides DX10 lighting....I have seen very few examples of DX10 or 11 being significantly better looking. The DX11 shadows in BFBC2 are no better than the shadows in other DX10 games. It's like car gears, the gear ratio is just lowered on BFBC2 so 1st second and 3rd gear ( low medium and high shadows ) are all set lower, the only one that is set higher is the DX11 shadows...and that is only because they gimped the other 3 settings so they can claim it to ...
+ bubbles raztad. Thankyou for not dissing PC like so many others. I agree 100%, neither platform gains by being 100% the same. Just look at Dragon Age on PS3....30frames constant. 360 version....20-30 frames.
I've seen many multiplats that truly make use of each platforms specs, and I hope this game is the same.

So f-ing true. I'm liking the campaign so far, it has exceeded my expectations...I thought I would get trigger happy and go straight for some skirmish, but i'll finish the campaign first...i'm sure we have at least 2 years until the next game...plenty of time for skirmish

Yeah I take back what I said about the graphics, the first few levels of the campaign were really bland and it looked really dated. But when the higher tier units come in they look pretty damn cool. Great animations too. I came a little I when I watched the in-engine Terran Battlecruiser clip at the end of the 3rd level...
I had to wait 4 hrs for my 40mb patch to download, that's how gay the blizzard servers were today. Then it took another hr after patching to even log in to play the game for the first time...
The second a stand alone patch/activation crack is released I will be on that bad boy like a fat kid on a corn dog...
I never want to go through that B.S again.
I don't agree with pirating, but without those cracks...I wouldn't buy half as many ...
I personally really liked ME2. I am torn between which game I like more, and each game gets different pros and cons. But someone here summed it up best and described my thoughts I couldn't figure out:
"ME1 had a better story
ME2 had better gameplay"
It's true, ME2 fixed all the broken combat + better visuals + more streamlined dialogue etc. But ME1 was more epic...in terms of the story anyway.
But people diss ME2 too...
Unreal tournament 3 on PC. 13 v 13 matches, either team deathmatch or just plain ol' deathmatch; always against bots. I've never played a mutliplayer FPS as fast paced as UT3. Even quake 3 etc which come in second best, are a distant second in terms of brutal fast combat.
I can play for 10 minutes or an hr, it's always fun to go back to.
